- Want some snacks?
- It's 8 am, Jungkook
- Yeah so...want some?
My friend Youngjae denies, rolling his eyes playfully and I get up to find something to eat. A minute later, I sit back in bed with him. We've had a great way to wake up this morning and now I keep the conversation flowing.
- Wanna play videogames?
- How do you have so much energy after what we just did, dude? I'm doing my best not to fall asleep right now
- Sorry, I feel more active afterwards...want a second round?
- I would like to walk tomorrow, Kookie. My ass already hurts a little. Go get the joystick, I'm playing from here
- Sure!
- And put on some clothes! Jesus...
We have fun for about an hour but he eventually has to leave for work. I wish I had someone who can stay with me a little longer. Having alone time is not my type of fun. That's probably why I'm most of the time seeing my friends...or sleeping with them. It's not the first time Youngjae wakes up next to me and it won't be the last. But maybe tomorrow I'll choose someone different, who knows?
- Well, it was fun but I gotta go Kook
- You going to the races tonight? "Gucci" is running! And the guys told me we could get a few beers afterwards
- You'll invite him?
He doesn't sound pleased. No one does when I mention Taehyung's nickname. There's actual fear in his eyes, and I can almost see him shiver.
- He's not a fucking monster, dude! He's actually pretty nice!
- Yeah, you keep thinking that. Thank God you always wear black, you're ready for your funeral once he kills you
- Damn, you guys are dramatic as fuck hahahaha
- You don't know who you're messing with... I'll go out now. Make sure to put me on your will before you die
I laugh out loud just thinking about it. Tae would never hurt a fly...I guess. At night I make sure to be at the races before they start. Taehyung is a well known illegal racer that no one gets too close to. He stands in the middle of the place and next to him, there's Park Jimin. Well, no one calls him his real name here. Everyone knows them as "Gucci" and "Busan's Boss". Actually I get to talk to Jimin every now and then. We're both from Busan and I hope I can race against him soon. Before I can get to them someone hugs me from the back.
- Broooo, you're heeeere!
- Yugyeomiiieee!! You racing today?
- Just watching this time. The guys are back there, you coming?
- I'll be there in a minute! I have someone I wanna talk to first
He walks away from me, back to the rest of the group. All of them drinking their beers and smocking their cigs. Youngjae is sitting with them when he sees where I'm heading to and his face turns white. Most of them stare at me waiting to see if I die or not. Except for Yugyeom. He just smiles and shows me thumbs up. I see Tae slapping Jimin's ass before the first race. He stays alone in the back since he won't run yet, and I take my chance.
- Finally, you're alone for a moment
He tenses for a second. His smile is gone. Always looking a little annoyed. Like if I just ruined his entire day. I love that expression on him.
- Yes and I was enjoying it, Jeon
God, I love how he calls me that. He's so cute I'm gonna die. Everyone else is friends with me so they call me "Kookie" or so. But he doesn't. He's so disrespectful sometimes. Fuck, I love it.
- There's other ways we can enjoy our time! Want me to show you, Tae?
- Do you always have to smile like an idiot saying those things?
- That didn't sounds like a "no"!
- Why do I even bother with you?
- Because you love me!
His eyes go big and for a moment he seems to panic. But then he goes back to his normal self. He curses under his breath and avoids my eyes.
- If you keep saying that, they'll say it was a "crime of passion" when I drive over you
- Hahahaha I'm sure you can get away with it without getting caught!
- You're right. So stop tempting me
- Unfair! You tempt me all the time...to do other things, cutie!
I can see him try his best not to send me to hell. And that's one of the reasons I know he doesn't hate me... I'll explain:
If anyone else ever says anything against him. If anyone crosses a line. If anyone ever tries to get near him too much... they're gone. They don't come back to the races and only say they're scared of Tae or Jimin. But with me it's different. He never even tried to scare me. He always acts annoyed but...not...really? It's hard to explain
I can tell he doesn't hate me. But I also know he doesn't think of me as a friend. Specially since the way he treats me is miles away from how he treats Jimin. But that can change! I want to be friends with him. He makes me laugh with his shitty attitude and I find him to be so so soooooo cute.
Okay, maybe I'm a little attracted to him. But I don't wanna just sleep with him. I don't think I've ever had a "one night stand" that wouldn't end up as a friendship. Neither a friendship that wouldn't end up as a good night eventually. It's by far the best way to live.
- Minnie! You did great baby!
Jimin throws himself over Taehyung who catches him on the air. I smile looking at them.
- You were awesome, Boss!
- Thanks, Kook! Though I'm pretty sure you spent the race checking my friend
- He was checking my patience...
- Hahahah okay okay sorry, I'll pay more attention to the race next time!
- Tae honey - Jimin sweetly says - it's your turn now. Don't worry, me and your lover over here will cheer for you
- I'm not sure you're my friend anymore, Minnie
Jimin blows him a kiss playfully and Tae starts leaving, but I have to ask him something first
- Tae, wait!
He turns around and waits for me. Something he doesn't do for people he hates. I know he has to think I'm cool!
- Wanna go for a beer with the guys after this?
- I rather die.
His serious face makes me wanna laugh but I don't. I just smile and nod, watching him walk away. It's a good night, even if he doesn't come with us. And at the end another friend ends up in my bed, like almost every day.
I wonder if someday, I'll have a night like this with him...
