It was a pattern I knew well after years of living here.
As if on cue the moon shifted. Lights winking in the dark, [it] told us stories of the sea.
I grew up as long as I've been alive.
There wasn't much to this place but beauty.
We talked for an hour; fascinating people.
A friend reminded me I found myself an hour drive [away from] here. He lives down the road.
I think if someone is trying to reach they call the hotel and leave a message.
They leave a note in glass.
It works well.
