You offered me anywhere.
Earth for a day.
A meadow in India. The mountains of my dreams.
A long sharp pinnacle of ice, a ribbon of cloud.
And lurking within lies golden grass, silent but the rumble bleats of transcendent bodies.
Everything I love I've been fortunate to glimpse it from afar.
I've seen it daily[,] hung in a frame on a wall. Chances are I'll never reach it.
My interest in mountains began with stories of [hero's, of you.
So, no I don't take your offer.]
