I woke up and was confused to see that I was in a stairwell. It was dark and I had no memory of getting to this specific area. I walked up to where I saw light coming through the bottom of a door. When I walked through to the other side, it was like one of my nightmares had come to life. The world around me was broken, in flames with people screaming for their lives. I couldn't see a source of the destruction but had a strange sense of déjà vu.
As I turned, I was able to recognize that I was on top of Titans Tower. I walked over to the edge and looked over to see the T-Car smashed into the side of the tower. Suddenly, and without any warning I heard someone shoot something at my back. I caught a small glimpse of green as I fell over the edge of the tower. I was stunned from whatever had hit me and landed on the ground below with a loud thud.
I stayed laying low for a few seconds and when I opened my eyes I was met with large green ones. "Beast Boy?" I asked softly, raising my hand to pet the tiger that was so close to my face. However, when my hand reached his nose, the tiger growled and backed away. I saw Cyborg walk towards me with his cannon blaster in his arm pointed directly at me. Beside him Starfire floated down looking angrier than I had ever seen her. Lastly, Nightwing walked behind them with his staff out and looking ready to attack. "Guy's what's going on?" I asked shakily.
"How could you?" Cyborg asked. Starfire shook her head. "Raven you told us this would never happen." She said angrily. Beast Boy changed back briefly still sitting in a ready position looking as if he were about to attack. "You told us you were here to do good. Does this look good to you?" He asked gesturing to the broken city behind him. I looked past him and shook my head. No this couldn't be my fault. I didn't remember doing this. I did good, I was a hero.
"You're a monster Raven. You call this place your home and yet you destroy it. You call us your family, yet you betray us. You're not a hero." Nightwing yelled as he walked closer. I stood up and tried to back away as fast as I could, but he was faster. He grabbed my cloak and looked into my eyes. I could feel through the bond his hatred and knew it was directed at me. "You're a monster." He said as he pushed my cloak back at me as he and the rest of my friends walked back to the tower.
I didn't know what to do so I ran. I ran to the water which seemed to be the only thing I hadn't ruined. When I looked down at the water what I saw staring back at me scared me the most. It was me, but everything was red, my cloak, my eyes and even the small area of water around me. I stared at my reflection in horror as I saw my father, Trigon, walk up behind me. "You've done well daughter." He said as he gave a deep demonic laugh. I screamed and backed away as far as I could. I could feel myself losing control over my powers as I felt rain start to pour over me. His voice seemed to be clouding my thoughts
"Raven."
I shook in fear. I sat down where I was and pulled my knees to my chest. I shook my head no and kept muttering. "No, you're gone. You're not real. I destroyed you." Somewhere in the distance I heard glass shattering, probably one of the windows in the tower breaking from my powers.
"Raven." This time the voice sounded more urgent, and I looked up through my tears. It looked like the world was melting away which confused me.
"Raven!" The voice said. I could sense urgency in the voice, and it was sounding less and less like my father. Still I shook my head and covered my ears with my hands. "Go away!" I screamed. I felt a hand on my shoulder and immediately tried to escape. "No don't touch me. GO AWAY" I screamed begging the voice to just leave me alone.
"Raven we have to go!" This time I looked up and I was in the bank office again. I looked around to find the shell of what I had originally thought was a grenade. The sprinklers seemed to be going off and as I looked next to me, I was met with the bright glow of Cyborgs electric eye. Looking down I saw that my hands were free and the cuff was on the other side of the room split in half. I started crying even harder as he picked me up in his arms and started to run out of the bank. "Rae you'll be okay just wait till we're back at the tower. You'll be okay."
