In a small library high above the clouds was a happy family. The 2 kids sat around their father as he told them a story they have heard over and over again. The story of there fight for dominates.
(This part is the father reading the book out loud to his kids)
'Long ago origins and humans lived peacefully. They traded together and married together. But it all went downhill when the humans thrust for power and dominates took hold. The humans viciously attacked the origins and used any and all tricks to defeat them. They would attack when everyone was sleeping, they would take hostages anything they could do to get the upper hand they did. After hundreds of years of fighting the humans won, cutting the number of origins down tremendously.'
The older closer the book. "Dad, you barely read it" the young boy complained. His father chuckled "we will read more tomorrow" the boy pouted. "Tommy stop pouting like a baby" his younger sister taunted. Tommy scoffed. Their father just sat in the background laughing but his laughs and children's bickering was cut off by the yells of people outside.
Their attention went to the window to see what was causing the commotion. Outside the city was burning and people with guns where chasing the town's folk. "Dad! What do we do" whisper yelled the younger girl. Their father turned around. "Run, get far away make it to the other village."
Before the kids could protest the doors busted open. "WE GOT MORE IN HERE" their father looked at them sadly before pushing them out the backdoor and moving book shelfs infront of it. "NO DAD!" yelled the young girl. Tommy grabed her arm "RUN LETS GO" and with that they took off threw town, zig zaging threw running people. They almost made it to the outskirts of town when they saw people coming at them. "Tommy what do we-" tommy pulled his sister behind a bush. "Sh" he put his finger up to his mouth.
They watch in fear as the people slowly looked around, servying the area. The girl shrieked and they stoped. Right infront of the bush.
Tommy put his hand over her mouth but it was to late they heard them.
A hand pulled them out of the bush. "Well looky here we have some trying to run away." They both struggled against this person's hand's but they were to strong. Then tommy had an idea may not be a good one but it could work.
He made eye contact with his sister then bit the mans arm, she did the same thing.
The man screamed out "SON OF A-" tommy grabbed his sister hand and ran right for the edge of the mountain. "We need to jump!" Tommy yelled she nodded. They ran closer to the edge then jumped.
Tommy pov-
Tommy opened up his wings as he got closer to the ground. He turned around and looked up, watching his home go up in flames.
When he landed he looked around for his sister. "Drista?" Tommy yelled. "Tommy?" He heard her yell in the distance.
He ran in the direction of her voice looking around trying to find her.
Suddenly he ran into someones legs. He looked up and saw drista hanging from a tree. "Tommy im stuck" tommy chuckled and helped her down. "Will dad and the town be ok?" Drista asks. He looked at her sadly and put his hand on her shoulder. "Drista remember those bad people from the book?" She nodded. "Well they attacked our village, our best chance of survival is to get to the other village."
But we haven't heard from the village in about 50 years so we don't know if they are still there. Tommy sighed and stared walking north. "Do you even know where you are going?" Tommy scoffed "of course i do im a big man i can find my way" drista rolled her eyes.
(Time skip)
"We're lost" Tommy said sitting on a rock. Drista laughing near by. "Maybe we ask for help?" Tommy looked up at her "oh yeah and where do we find people when we are lost in the woods." Drista rolled her eyes. "Maybe there is a village near by" he shrugged "worth looking." We got up and stared walking in a random direction.
We walked for a bit trying to find any sight of life but nothing. "Tommy maybe- AHAHA" Tommy snapped around but she was gone! "DRISTA!" I called out. "TOMMY?!" Tommy ran to where he heard her voice it sounded echoey.
All of a sudden Tommy fell. "Ow." "Nice going dumbass we are both stuck here now." Tommy
rolled my eyes.
Then for a spilt second, I saw something move. "Uh Drista we're not alone."
