racing hearts (chapter 8)

3rd person pov:

As the rain poured down harder and harder a young avian awoke suddenly, He jolted up gasping for air. It caught the attention of niki and fundy who was still sitting in the rain. Niki ran over to him, "are you alright tommy?" She asked worrily. "Yeah- yeah, I just fell asleep in to low of altitude" he suddenly stop and looked at drista who chest was not moving.

Tommy jumped up and ran to her, "drista wake up, please wake up" he looked teary eye at her. Niki tapped Tommy and pointed up, she had 3 hearts left "we need to either wake her up or get her somewhere high" she said. Tommy depretly looked at dirsta "we need to get her somewhere high, she is probably by now passed out from lack of air" Tommy flinched when he saw her hearts now go down to 2, "quickly!" He yelled.

Tommy picked up drista and ran out of the cave, niki following close behind and fundy following them from a distance. Tommy ran as fast as he could trying to find where he could get her up high, the trees here where to short. Niki yelled from behind "up there! That pine tree is the tallest tree." Tommy looked at it and ran towards it.

He got to the tree and niki not to long after, "how are we going to get her up there!" Niki yelled over the raging rain. Tommy looks at drista as hearts are now only 1. He puts drista on his back and jumps on a branch and desperately climbed up it. "Be careful!" Niki yelled.

Fundy finally caught up and was now standing by niki, he looked up and saw Tommy struggling to carry a girl on his back. Fundy jumped on a branch and climbed up to him with ease. Tommy looked at him "who are you!" He yelled, fundy put his hands in the air balancing on a branch. "I'm a friend of niki nihachu and I can help, I can climb really good I will carry her up" Tommy looked at him "no way in h-" dristas heart dropped to half, he looked at fundy desperately before handing over drista, fundy postioned her on his back then quickly leaped up the tree with Tommy trying to follow but being to slow to keep up with fundy.

Fundy raced up the tree trying to get up there before she lost her last heart. The rain made it very difficult because of the slippery branches, he was almost up the tree when his foot slipped. He thought that was it he was going to fall and die and the girl was going to suffocate to death but suddenly he felt himself be pushed back onto the branch and drista was swept out of his hands, he looked up and saw a pink blur going up the tree till they were at the top.

Niki looked down at drista, she had saw that fundy was going to slip and fall so she used the rain to boost her up, now she was looked down at drista whos hearts were now at zero. She started crying "I've failed I've failed, I'm sorry drista I couldn't save you like you saved me" niki weeped loudly. Tommy and fundy made it to the top and saw the scene, Tommy started to cry as well while fundy just looked at drista sadly.

But suddenly drista stared coughing, everyone looked at her surprised, "what are you guys crying about" she said grogly. Niki stared laughing "oh thank gods your alive" she smiled and hugged her. Drista hugged back really confused. Drista then pulled away and looked at Tommy "aww where you worried about me" she laughed mockingly. Tommy rolled his eyes and whiped away his tears "yeah right" he said sarcasticly.

Drista looked around confused,"where are we"

Philza pov:

Philza woke up suddenly, he shivered from a bad dream. It took him a few minutes but soon he realized that niki, tommy, and drista where gone. He frantically looked around the cave but only found ranboo and slimecical.

He ran over to slimecical and shook him awake, "charlie wake up wake up" slimecical looks up at phil, "philza minecraft what is wrong?" He asks, "3 out of the 4 kids is gone" charlie looks around, "it appears they have."

Phil turned the cave upside down (metaphor obviously) trying to find them. Eventually ranboo woke up in the commotion.

"Whats wrong?" He asks. Phil stops and looks at him "their gone"

Nikis pov:

The rain stared to get lighter, "Uh guys did we happen to bring my tank?" She asks, Tommy shakes his head. "Oh no no no the rain is lightning" she pauses and looks at everyone in horror, "im going to die if you don't find water" everyone imminently got down from the tree, "Great more trying to prevent death" fundy said.

The rain kept getting lighter and lighter, "hurry" drista said. She grabbed nikis hand a ran in a random direction, Tommy and fundy following close behind.

But they where in the middle of thick forest with no lakes in site. Niki stared weezing for air "rain.... getting to...... light" she managed to say.

Drista pov:

Drista looked at niki worrily, she frantically looked around trying to find water,at this point it was only a little drissel and niki could barely breath.

Drista dragged her threw the trees trying he best to save her when suddenly there was a swoosh. "Wow a merling out of water" it said. Drista looked at him "Please help us we need water large enough to submerged her in."

The man thought for a minute before nodding "ok take my hand" drista picked niki up and grabbed his hand. He then jumped up blasting star dust behind him.

Tommy pov:

Him and fundy saw the star dust but no drista or niki, "crap we lost them"

Tommy sat on a stump with his head in his hands, "what am i going to do, I'm lost with someone I just met, I lost my sister and a fish,and we ran off with out phil and are now lost in the woods"

Fundy walked up to him "hey I'm sorry that your friends are lost, I could try and help you look for them" he offered. Tommy looked up at him before sluping down "it's useless if we have no clue which direction they went" Tommy said.

"I'm a katsune origin and my nose is on par of any preditor I can pick up a scent 5 miles away" fundy said, Tommy jumped up "then you can find them!" He yelled excited. "Yep but we have to be quick because the storm isn't over and if it starts to rain again their sent will be washed away"

Tommy gulped, "Ok then let go!" He yelled. "Uh wait I need somthing that has one of their sents" fundy says.

Tommy nervously laughs "oh yah sorry" he said before he pulled out a hair tie "i always keep one on me incase drista needs it, it might have her sent on it but I've had it in my pocket for a while" Tommy said. "Don't worry even the little sent of her will lead me right to them"

Fundy sniffs the hair tie then turns around, he sniffs the moist air before picking up their sent "found it let's go!"

Drista pov:

The man landed next to a beautiful looking pond and set her down. He then takes niki and walks into the water all the way down to his chest, then he carefully lays he I in the water.

Drista watches as niki sinks to the bottom, she nervously watches. The man came back to her, "Don't worry we made it just before her last heart was gone she will be ok she just needs time" drista sighs in relief before realizing she left her brother.

"Crap my brother we left him behind!" She said. The man smiled "don't worry they will find us he has a kitsune with him and they have very good noses as long as we don't leave this area to often." The man explains, drista sighs again.

Suddenly dristas attention was drawn to the lake. She noticed somthing moving in it, drista carefully makes her way to the edge of the lake. She nelt down and watched the water till the figures popped up in front of her, it was niki!

Drista pulled her into a hug "niki your safe!" She yelled, niki laughed "yep thank for saving me" she said with a grin. "I didn't save you he did" drista pointed at the man. "Thank you sir, whats your name?" Niki asks.

"I'm Scott, Scott major but you can call me smajor"

Hey guys sorry for the short chapter I just wanted to get one out to you guys. Sorry for the lack of content I will try my best to make more but unlike my other book this book has more details and I put alot more thought into it therefore it takes me longer
