What matters most (chapter 22)

Ranboo ran and ran, he didn't know where he was going, he just wanted to get away. He stopped in the middle of the hallway. He fell to his knees, hyperventilating. He kept thinking to himself he needed to betray them, his family is safe now. But he betrayed his friends, people he cared about so much. 

He got up, "I have to tell the others, I have to warn them." he says, "but they'll hate me, they won't listen to me." He holds his shirt, "I have to try to make things right" He takes off running. 

Somewhere up ahead.

"Guys what does that mean?" Jack asks. "I don't know, but we need to find Niki, Fundy, and Ranboo fast." Phil says. 

All of a sudden everyone hears footsteps. "Someone is coming." Tommy says. They tense up waiting for the potential enemy. 

They all prepare themselves, ready to fight.  Suddenly ranboo comes busting out of the hall. "Ranboo!" Scott says. 

Ranboo stops in his tracks, looking at everyone. Phil walks up to him, putting his hand on his shoulder, "Are you ok?" he asks. Ranboo look's up at Phil then breaks down crying, "I'm sorry" he sobs. 

Everyone stares at him in confusion, fear building up in their stomachs. "What, do you mean ranboo, why are you sorry, does this have something to do with Niki and Fundy?" Phil asks. "I'm so sorry." He repeats. 

"Ranboo, tell us what happened." Phil says. Ranboo takes a deep breath and tells them everything. 

Everyone stands there silently. "What!" tommy yells. He lunges at ranboo. Drista and Scott holds him back, "How could you!" Tommy yells. "I had to! they are holding my family captive!" Ranboo yells. 

"Ranboo, you could have told us, we could have helped." Phil says, trying to hold his anger in. Ranboo looks down in shame. 

"Look guys we can deal with this later, Ranboo is still a legend so we will talk about his after we save Niki and Fundy." Phil says. 

Tommy yells out and walks away from ranboo. "He will not leave my sight until we get out of here." Phil says looking at everyone. 

"Ranboo, where did they take them." Scott says coldly. Ranboo takes a deep breath, "Probably the dugon, I know where it is, I'll take you guys there." 

Ranboo leads everyone down multiple halls and stairs cases until they emerge in a dingy look hall. "Is this it?" Tubbo asks. Ranboo nods. 

Suddenly they are all surrounded by men, "It was a trap!" Jack yells, "No! I didn't know about this!" Ranboo yells. "It doesn't matter, we need to get past them and in those doors!" Yells Phil. 

Tubbo looks at foolish and nods, Tubbo takes a deep breath in, slightly glowing purple before a stinger appears, he hands it to foolish and foolish goes invisible, he makes another and lunges at the closet person. 

Jack summons flames all around him and starts throwing flame balls as people. Scott starts blasting people with stary looking blasts. Phil fly's above kicking and punching people. 

They all freeze when they hear, Niki scream from the other room, "Leave her alone!" they hear Fundy scream before hearing him scream out in pain. Their screams echo through the halls. 

The others fight harder, trying to get to them. Tommy grabs Drista and Ranboo, "You're going to help us fix this." He hisses. 

They dart to the door, hearing Niki and Fundy's gut agonizing screams. Right before they make it to the door the screams stop. 

Tommy, Drista, and Ranboo bust into the room. They look over and see Niki and Fundy on the ground, a bunch of rubles and blood around them. 

There were guards standing around Niki and Fundy laughing, Tommy screams and runs to attack them. He blindly attacks them, cutting down anyone that came near him. 

He suddenly heard a scream and see's Drista being held by Jschlatt, a knife to her throat. Ranboo was down on the ground, blood dripping from his mouth. 

"If you hurt her-" tommy yells before being cut off. "I don't want to hurt her, but I will if you don't listen to me." Jschlatt says, pressing the knife into her neck, causing blood to form. 

"Stop! I challenge you!" Tommy yells, "What are you doing?" Drista says. Jschlatt raises his eyebrow in amusement. 

"Fight me!" Tommy yells. Jschlatt laughs and throw drista to the ground. "Go ahead and try!" he booms. "Tommy don't!" Ranboo yells. "Yeah, listen to the traitor" Jschlatt laughs. 

"I don't care what he did, he had a reason, and it was because of you! I forgive you ranboo, you where manipulated. Now fight me Jschlatt!" Tommy yells. Jschlatt laughs, "Ok you asked for it." 

Jschlatt laughs, summoning thousands of spiders, launching them at tommy. Tommy try's his best to dodge. He tries to get close to Jschlatt, trying to land a good blow. Tommy finally got close to Jschlatt but was knocked to the side. 

Tommy was sent flying into a wall with a loud crunch. "Tommy!" Drista yells, "Stay back!" Tommy yells, pulling himself out of the ruble. 

He launches himself at Jschlatt, landing a blow to his face. Jschlatt laughs, spitting blood out. "Now you're in for it." Jschlatt grabs tommy fist, pulling him in and punches his face, sending him flying again. Drista cries out, watching her brother being use as a punching bag. 

"Give up yet!" Jschlatt booms. "Not even close." Tommy says, wobbling out of the rubble, he stubbles forward. "Well, I'm done." Jschlatt lifts his arm. 

Drista watches this and everything seems like it's in slow motion. She watches as tommy charges again; she yells out to him, but the words won't come out, so she just screams as jschlatt sends a blast towards tommy. He didn't have any time to dodge. 

The blast connected with his stomach. Tommy screams out and crumbles to the ground. Drista gets up and runs to him. Ranboo following close behind. "I'm so sorry tommy this is my fault." Ranboo cries, apologizing over and over again. "Shut up Ranboo, go check on Niki and Fundy!" She yells. Ranboo nods, stumbling towards Niki and Fundy.

Drista turned her attention back to tommy, she cradles him in her arms, she keeps repeating, "you'll be ok, we are going to make it out here together, please please don't die i can't be alone again.'' Tommy shook his head, looking at his sister he said with a chuckle "I never thought I would have to say goodbye to you so soon" tears rolling down his eyes. Drista holds him in her arms "please please tommy don't say that you live!" Tommy's eyes looked away from Drista with a faraway look. "I can't see anything" he sobs, "are you still here, please tell me your still here, I don't want to go alone" Drista tried to blink away her tears, "I'm here tommy, its ok I'm right here" tommy nods "I love you" he whispers before his head slups. Drista screams.

Jschlatt laughs out loud, "He just had a death wish." Drista looks up at him, her eyes glowing red. Jschlatt looks at her, "What? Do you have a death wish to?" He laughs. 

Drista gently lays tommy's head down before lunging at Jschlatt at blinding speed. Jschlatt looks panicked and she is flying right next to him. 

"How is this possible!" he yells, "The avian legend is dead!" He yells nervously. Drista screams, letting out all her anger and resentments out on Jschlatt. She creates and ball of energy Infront of her stomach. 

"What are you doing!" Jschaltt yells, "You can't kill me, you're nothing!" 

Drista yells, releasing the blast straight at him, Jschlatt yells, being disintegrated by the blast. 

Drista fly's down, stumbling towards tommy. She collapses right next to him, sobbing. 

At that moment, the others bust into the room and are met with a horrific scene. Phil run's over to Drista and Tommy. He finds drista slumped over Tommy sobbing. Phil checks his pulse, when he feels no heartbeat, he takes his hat off and closes tommy's eye's. 

The only thing heard in the room was drista's sobs.
