Down with the avians (chapter 12)

It was all a blur. Lots of lava, running, screaming, blood.

Niki and fundy was running towards the portal, Jack and tommy was dragging the limp ranboo towards the portal.

"Their gaining on us!" Scream fundy.

Guards ran at them throwing javals and fire balls.  Piglins were chasing them with gold weapons. And on top of all that it was scorching hot and they where working up a sweat.

They almost made it to the portal when a fireball wizzed past jacks ear and hurled right at fundy's feet causing him to fall.

Moments after they were surrounded.

A few hours earlier...

Everyone was sitting around a cave impatiently waiting. They had nothing to do and they were running out of time.

You see non blazeborns or anything that didn't belong in the nether couldn't survive a long time down there.

Their lungs would get really dry and they would start getting burns and blisters on their skin. Ranboo was probably in the best condition while Tommy and Niki where probably doing the worst.

Tommy was very sleep deprived, as he couldn't not get high enough in the nether to sleep and he hadn't slept since they where back in that cave in the forest.

While Niki is well a Merlin, and Merlin's weren't made to be out of the water let alone the hot humid nether.

But they where all pushing threw because if they couldn't get jack then their mission would be a bust and they wouldn't be able so save the origin races.

"How much longer do we have?" Asked fundy.
"An hour" replied ranboo.

"How are we supposed to survive in this place?" Asked Tommy
"We're not Tommy, our body's were not made for the nether and if we stay here to long we will surely die" replied niki.

Tommy felt a bit guilty for complaining, sure he was super sleep deprived but he could survive that, he could probably survive longer in the nether than a Merlin can.

"Don't feel bad for me," niki said "I am strong, we are strong and we will get out of here together."

Everyone nodded, yet the sprites were not high.

Time past very agonizingly slowly. But eventually it came time to meet Jack at the lava lake they had first met him at.

They all trudged along, slowly making their way back. But when they got there jack was no where to be seen.

Instead of seeing jack, they heard alarms blare in the distance. They were confused but knew it was not good.

Suddenly jack came into view. "Run!" He yelled "RUUUUN!"

Everyone got the memo and stared book lining it to the nether portal but it was still pretty far away.

"Jack, what were those alarms for?!" Asked niki.
"Oh those? They were activated bc I set off a bomb as a distraction so I could get away" Jack said quickly.

Everyone stared at him dumbfounded. "Jack there could have been an easier way" Tommy said.

"Yeah well can't take back the past!" Jack said and ran faster.

Soon guards were chasing them. They heard one yell "the prince has been captured by intruders!"

Jack just laughed, "well this is fun."

Everyone picked up paste but they were still a bits away. Luckily the guards were slow, unfortunately they were throwing fireballs and javels.

"Crap, I don't think we will make it!" Yelled fundy.
"Yes we will!" Screamed tommy.
