" Sorry, I couldn't understand you over the crunching of your fricking chips."
I laughed a bit at the monkey's face when he turned to look at me with a slightly offended face. " Well, maybe you should listen harder," The Monkey King joked as he shoved more peach chips into his mouth. I set down my notebook and pencil on the ground next to my pencil bag. I stood up from where I was sitting on the ground and dusted off my shorts. " I'm gonna walk around, just to take a break," I told the Monkey sitting on his cloud. He gave me a thumbs up and I left the area.
I walked around the mountain, just taking a break from listening to the Monkey King. I don't remember how long I've been a student to him, I just remember suddenly being one. I've met his successor, Mk, who is an energetic kid who knows almost everything about the Monkey King. Well, everything you can learn from legends and books. I sometimes join in with the training sessions, just to learn about how Monkey King teaches as well as how Mk learns.
I walked around and used a large stick to move the water from the waterfall so I could get past without getting too wet. I jumped onto a rock right as the stick fell. I smiled and jumped from rock to rock, sitting on a large one. I took off my shoes and put my feet into the water. I hum and move my feet around in the cold water. I smiled at the monkeys that were around. One jumped over to me and went onto my shoulders. I let it sit there and pick at my hair.
The monkey continued to pick through my hair as another came over, stood on the rock in front of me, and splashed me with water. I laughed and splashed the monkey back with my foot. After a bit of water fun, the monkey in front of me jumped away. I waved and put my hand up to the monkey on my shoulders. The monkey stopped picking at my hair and hugged my arm. I lowered my arm and pet the monkey with my other hand.
The monkey moved from my arm to my lap and I picked through it's fur. I picked out any bugs and flicked it away once out of their fur. " You're a sweet monkey," I smiled as I continued to clean out the monkey's fur. After I finished getting out anything I could, the monkey went away. I smiled and took my feet out of the water. I waited for my feet to dry before putting back on my socks and shoes. I decided that my break was long enough and went back though the waterfall. The waterfall accepted me back in and I walked through.
I found the Monkey King in the same place where I left him. Laying on his cloud, eating those damn peach chips. " Ah, the Monkey King." I walked over, " We might have to talk about your addiction to those chips." I snicker. Sun Wukong gave me a look and shoved a chip into my mouth, " Oh shush. You have your food addictions too." I crunched on the chip and nod, " Yeah but it's not as bad." I giggle.
The Monkey King put his chips on the cloud and jumped off. " You got a problem with my chips (Y/n)?" He put his hands on his hips. " Nah, just teasing you." I gently punch his shoulder. " Teasing me huh? Well I can tease you back! You're hair is a mess." Monkey King sucked at teasing some times. " Yeah, a monkey was picking stuff out of it." I combed my fingers through my hair. Sun Wukong chuckled and wiped out a brush. He turned me around and brushed my hair. " Thanks King." I smiled. " No problem you mess."
I roll my eyes, " Says the monkey with eyeliner." " Hey!" Monkey King pulled the brush down hard, pulling my hair. I yelp, " Ow!" I pulled away and rubbed my head. " Dramatic." Monkey King laughed. I pout, " You hurt me" I chuckle and pull out a hairtie from my pocket. I tied up my hair, " You are a handful Monkey King, you know that?" The Monkey King sat back on his cloud, " Uh, so are you." He munched on his chips again.
I pick up my notebook and pencil case, putting my pencil back into it. " I'm gonna get going. It's gonna be late soon." I grabbed my backpack that was resting on a rock. I shoved my stuff into it. " Took a break and now you're leaving? Damn, see you then. Be safe." Monkey King waved. I waved back, putting my backpack on. " I didn't know how late it was. See you Sun Wukong." I started to walk away as he shouted again to be safe.
I set my backpack down on the table next to the front door as I enter my apartment. Night was close to setting and I was hungry. It takes a bit to get through Flower Fruit mountain back to the city. I took a quick shower before making a salad with some rotisserie chicken in it. I ate it while watching Tv. I checked my phone and saw a missed call from a blocked number. I was confused because I hadn't blocked any numbers before.
I muted my Tv and called the number back. The call was ended the second I pressed call. " The hell? Ok, I guess I'm not calling back?" I unmuted my Tv and set my phone down. I continued to eat my salad. Once finished, I washed my dish and continued to watch Tv as I checked over my notes I took while listening to Monkey King. I felt off for some reason and looked around. I noticed there was a figure standing out on my balcony.
They were hidden slightly by my thin curtains covering the glass doors. I silently got up and tiptoed over to the doors to the balcony doors. The figure seemed to move quickly so I rushed over and pulled the curtains to the side. I barely saw the figure as it jumped off my balcony. I gasp and opened the doors. I live on the top floor, floor 9! I looked over the side of the balcony but saw no one. " I must be imagining things," I walk back inside. The figure who jumped smirked as they waited for the sound of the door to shut before jumping down from the 8th story balcony. They kept in mind what room was mine.
