Peter's POV

Grunting I tumbled in through my bedroom window and collapsed on the floor. I had approximately 1 hour before my mother came home, according to the webs which I prayed still held her securely to the roof. Fighting four, fully armed and prepared avengers, is definately as hard as it sounds. I felt broken. I had multiple gashes from barely missed bullets. Bruises and broken ribs from Cap's sheild and various burns from Iron Man's blasters. Limping to the bathroom door, my breaths coming in sharp and ragged huffs, I switched on the shower and clicked the lock behind me.

"Ahhh!" I winced and screamed out as the scalding water touched my battered skin. Clenching my teeth and pushing past the pain I focused on making all my injuries unoticable. My mum could pick up on even the smallest thing so my acting had to be impeccable whenever she was around. If she found out my identity now? I dont even want to know.

Flashback

"Spider-Man! Please just tell us who you are so we can stop this!" Captain America shouted in my direction as I flipped over and around his incoming sheild

"Well, since you asked so nicely!" There was a pause in everyone's movements as they waited for my sentence to be completed. This gave me the exact advantage I wanted as I shot a web towards the overly annoying archer a roof over. He screeched out as my webbing made contact and fastened him to the roofs edge rendering him useless

"My answer is still, politely, no" I did a little bow for affect but apparently these people had no respect as almost instantly Iron-Man's blaster fired and I dodged a smidge to late, hissing in pain as the beam skimmed my shoulder. This was definately going to be a long night...

Out of Flashback

I was finally able to wash away the blood and my enhanced healing had mostly taken care of any mager wounds already. All I had to do was disinfect and cover up. The usual routine. I heard the familiar turning of a key just as I pulled my hoodie over my messed up hair. Thankfully the avengers didn't belive in sucker punches or messing up ones looks, so my face remained practically untouched apart from a slight bruise on my cheek from falling on my swing home. Hopefully mum wouldn't question it

"Peter!?" I yelled out a 'here!' in reply and took a deep breath before steadying myself and plastering on a fake smile. Marching myself out into the kitchen I pretended to be shocked by my mother's appearance

"Wh-What happened?" I pulled her into a hug and she relaxed into me before pulling back but keeping her hands planted firmly on my shoulders. It took everything I had to keep a straight face as she gripped one of my worse burns

"Spider-Man didn't come in too easy" I rasied my eyebrows as if surprised by her statement before pulling away and struggling over to the first aid kit. I tried to hide the fact I was hurt but I knew she suspected something. She was practically a SuperSpy. I began to sterilize a small cut on her cheek and couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as she flinched from the sudden sting of pain

"What about you? How was your day Pete?" I shrugged at her question just wanting to skip the niceties and jump right to my punishment. I finished patching up the cut before answering

"It was fine, rather boring really. Apart from the intern test, I think I did alright on that" She nodded before looking at me pointedly and I knew she was really asking why I was limping and hurt

"I'm fine, mum" I mean, what was I supposed to say? No actually I'm not alright, I'm Spider-Man and you and your buddies just beat me up because I wouldn't join your crew?

"Was it that kid Flash, again?" My eyes widened, I thought she didn't know about that. I then rolled my eyes and began to walk away, sighing at the lack of privacy I had in my life

"I said I'm fine. Goodnight" I could feel her staring holes in my back before I reached my door and she said the thing I knew was coming

"Your Grounded, by the way. Two weeks. Goodnight, I love you" I sighed again pushing my door open

"I love you too" I grumbled before finally having the luxary of sinking into my bed and knocking myself out.

Time skip with sleepy scott ,(-•-),

"Peter! Get up!" I groaned and rolled over struggling to peel my eyes open. I heard my mother laughing from the doorframe and turned to see her leaning against it watching me curiously. I winced as I rolled  onto my left side, right where Cap had landed a significant blow. She furrowed her eyebrows and moved forward in worry but I waved her off

"Why am I awake right now? It's saturday." She smiled but the concern remained in her eyes. I felt bad, keeping secrets. But it had to be done

"I thought you'd want to open this letter" She held up an already opened envelope and I narrowed my eyes, propping myself up on my elbows to see better

"Seems, I'm a bit late" I said questionly and she gave me a guilty look

"I was curious. Besides I wanted to make sure no one was trying to kill you" She shrugged like it happened everyday. Technically it did, but she didn't need to know that

"Come, on. Just look at it" She exasperated

"Alright" I sighed reaching out my hand, ignoring the pain my muscles were in and snatched the letter off my mother as she came to sit down beside me

"And Pete, I can tell your in pain. If I find that anyone has even so much as touched you. I'll kill them." She growled and I sighed looking at her, she seemed almost sad. I definately wasn't about to tell her that she would need to kill herself now, so instead I said the first thing that came to mind

"I fell down the stairs okay. I took the stairs cause the elevator wasn't working, you know how clumsy I am. I tripped okay. Go kill the stairs if you'd like" she smiled sadly and I knew she didn't belive me but gestured to the envelope anyway. Looking down I was confused for a second. The envelope in my hands was small and tinted slightly red, it wasn't until I saw the familiar Stark Industrues logo that my eyes widened and I hurriedley opened the letter

Dear Peter Parker,
Your test result of 95% has shocked Bruce and I, so much that I wonder if it's true. After looking into it, I decided it was. I now offer you the great privelage of being my personal Intern (Frankly beacause Pepper says I need one and your the best candidate). If you accept, which why wouldn't you? Hand this letter to the secretary, Bertha? I think. On saturday at 12- 12:30 and please don't be late. That's my thing.
-You know who I am.

I was speechless. The Tony Stark wanted me to be his personal intern. Wow. I looked at the time, 11:30. Shit. I had to be there in half an hour. I looked at my mum, she looked amused

"Get in the car" she sighed nodding her towards the door and standing up

I grinned. Time to make my secret that much harder to keep.

Sorry I haven't updated that recently. Promise I'll try and get at least two more chapters done this week. Have a good day :)
