Five: Sneak

It had been five minutes since I'd met with Ainosuke and was left with him. He sighed. "Why are you still here?"

"You requested the meeting. I was wondering the same thing."

"Oh, you're that girl I'm suppose to marry."

"Not that I'm happy with that, but yes."

"Just sit and be quiet. I've got things I'm planning."

I didn't do what he asked me to. I found a skateboard in his room, under his bed. "What's this?"

"You shouldn't be touching that."

I turned to him. "Are you sneaking out tonight?"

"I was planning to, after you fell asleep."

"Take me with you."

"You'd never make it."

"Tadashi taught me the basics years ago."

He looked to me. "Why do you want to go anyway?"

"There's someone who I know who said skateboarding is their reason for living. I want to learn more."

"Fine. But I will not hold any responsibility for you."

"You don't need to."

He handed me a hoodie. "I want you to hide yourself though. We don't have girls in the group."

We were able to sneak out and Ainosuke let me borrow a skateboard. He said it was his old one. We went out to a park. He told his friends that were there that I was just hanging out for the night and that I was new to skating. Just to let me do my own thing and don't bother me. At first, it was just simple things, but I was starting to get the hang of things. Just as I was starting to get the hang of some of the harder tricks, there was a shout.

"Adam!"

"You guys made it. Don't mind the newbie in the back. They're just hanging around learning. They're trustworthy."

The boys all started doing tricks. I started crying out something myself. I spun the board around and just kept doing it. Ainosuke, aka Adam, turned to me, his eyes wide. He grabbed me, pulling me over. "What was that?"

"I was just having fun. I don't see what the problem is."

"That was impressive, I must admit, but why that?"

"Because it felt right to do."

He grabbed my arms tight. "You don't even know what thats called. Why are you so interested in skateboarding now? You should give up. We both hate it, but you're going to marry me and that's final. That's what my aunties and your mother have agreed on."

"Oh, so you're allowed to sneak out and do this and have a boyfriend, but I'm not?"

"What?"

My eyes went wide. "What?"

"I don't understand you. It's not like you'd ever be liked by anyone. You're annoying, rude and disrespectful. You wouldn't love anyone anyway. You're far too picky."

"I am not."

"Nobody could ever love you. Now, be a good little wife and shut up and stick to your little children's tricks. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself. Besides, it's useless to learn this for a boy. I would have a better chance with him than you."

I smirked. "Than go ahead. Shoot your damn shot. See what happens. I'd much rather spend a night with him than you."

Ainosuke went to hit me, but I dodged the punch. He got angry more and I knocked him on his ass. "You bitch!"
