Next morning Avee woke up, quite uninterested to visit office as her spirits had already been dampened due to the events yesterday. She yet got up, got ready and left for office as she had duties and responsibilites as a daughter. The office hours commenced as usual and Avee felt lonely. During the lunch time, she did make some friends with two boys and three girls who offered her a seat with them in the canteen. Avee was relieved. She acquainted herself with them. Among them, it was Jenny, with whom she felt a bond since the first day.

A week passed by, Avee had almost forgotten about the boy she had met on her first day untill she attended a friendly basketball match as an audience with Jenny and her other colleauges in Sunburn Auditorium. Sitting beside Jenny, she was mesmerised on seeing the boy walking into the pavilion, tall, brown eyes, sturdy physique, and his eyes as if they had a thousand stories to tell.

Jenny interpreted Avee's gaze and responded.

"He is Pete, the heir to the Kevinsky Estate. It is said that he is a great basket ball player, too. Let's see if that's true!"

Avee had a few times read about the emerging reputation of Kevinsky Estates in newspapers.

She murmured
"A rich brat, you mean."

"Dont be so harsh on him when you don't even know him." Said Jenny.

The tournment began and Avee although she hated Pete and his arrogance but was undoubtedly mesmerised by his skills, fitness and charming looks. His team won the tournament, they returned home but Avee could still not get Pete out of her mind.

That night Avee saw the boy again, walking aimlessly through the dark alleys. She rushed down and started following him.

After a few minutes, Pete questioned her.

"I know its you but why are you following me?"

"Why do you walk alone here late at night? I have seen you even before. Its risky. Dont you know that?"

Pete turned towards Avee. His face shining as moonlight caressed his cheeks, his eyes sparkling speaking a thousand words. Avee couldnot take her eyes off him.

He held her hand tightly and they started running. Avee ran with him, absolutely numb as to why they were even running. After a few minutes, Avee found herself standing infront of her apartment.

"Go inside and never follow me again. Never."

Avee shook her hand away from his grip and walked away. Pete waited, watching her go inside her apartment.
