SHEHNAAZ'S POV

I moved to Shukla mansion, my apartment is all empty back there. And guess what, we're on a simple work, eat, sleep and repeat schedule. Where's the proposal?! He said, he would make it anytime soon, BUT WHEN?

Everyday infront of the mirror, in the bathroom, I practice saying -' yes, oh yes.. I'll share my life with you! I'm yours!' And then I virtually hug and kiss him. I'm in tears, he wipes them saying- 'I want to be the reason for your smile darling!' In his heavy voice. Perfect!

But it's all in my imagination! When will he do it in real? What is he waiting for now? Or did just bluff, oh no he won't! I know him. Just then my phone pinged with his message. 'Will b workin late.. don't wait fr me..' frowning on it. I just left it on seen, no reply. He's not giving me any attention these days.

"Hey Mahiii!" I chipped her, thought I could discuss something.

"Hii Babydoll! It's been a while we didn't catch up.. " she replied.

"Yeah.. Let's plan on this weekend if you're free.." I offered.

"Oh.. That would be great.. Aur bata? How's it going between you & Sidddd...?" she stretched it teasingly.

"Good.. Actually issi ke regarding kuch baat karni thi.." I mention.

"Ha.. Bol"

"um.. Let's believe for a while that Jay and you had a talk on.. About.. something.. You guys planned something.. But later Jay forgets about it.. And is all busy with his office.. Like office is his second wife now! What would you do?" I asked, I kind of wanted to talk to somebody about this thing, but at the same time didn't wish to reveal it. She laughed till she dried her guts out.

"Oh honey.. You're so funny.. (took a deep breath) okay.. I'll sue him!" she answered. And we cracked up again.

"Seriously yaar! Batao na!" I whine.

"Depends na.. Baat kitni serious hai.. For how long has he been busy?" she asks.

"Since last 3 days.. He's home around 9.. Ache se dinner bhi nahi karta.. Kyuki thaka hua hota hai.. Next day again back to office.." I said.
She explained there could be two things, first - he might be actually very busy. Second- he totally forgot the thing. So I should try talking to him about it indirectly, to see if he actually forgot or not.

It was almost 10 when he came back tonight, I was waiting for him at the dining table. I'll try talking.

"Hii" opened the door and pulled out his overcoat for him.

"Baith jaa.. Khana laga deti hu.." I said.

"Mai khana khaa ke ayaa hu.. Didn't I tell you?" he asked.

"No.. You said -don't wait for me.." I answer.

He chuckles. "It meant no dinner for me.." and made his way to the bedroom, I followed him.

"So..umm.. Sidharth!"

"Bol"

"How.. was your day?" I smile.

"Tiring!" he sighs sitting on the bed. Yes, he looks really exhausted. It won't be nice if I start picking up questions now. Laters.

"Kya soch rahi hai?" he asked.

"Na..nothing.. Geyser on kar rahi.. Jaa naha le" I suggested.

"Did you ask him?" Maahi and me are again on the call the other day.

"No yaar! He's really occupied with work.. He was very tired last night.." I sigh.

"So.. What are you gonna do now..?" she asks.
