Wolf mask.

The man was wearing a creepy wolf mask. He seems to be the leader of the bandits. When I saw that mask, I screamed without a sound.

Who is this man? Jin'er was in a perfect disguise. How did he–? Wait. Think hard Liu Shishi. What's more is there in the plot?

Kidnapping.

Kidnapping? Ah! There is really a plot where the female lead got kidnap by bandits in exchange of some treasure map. I can't even remember the name of that d@mn map. Fortunately, she was rescued by the male lead.

Wait.

So why am I the one being kidnap right now? And that plot is supposed to happen after the female lead return to the capital.

"Don't be scared, my lady." His big thumb gently brushed my falling tears.

"Don't touch her! I am Bai Suxin. I am the eldest daughter of the Prime Minister. She's just a maid. Let her go!" Jin'er insisted.

The man chuckled before signaling his men to tie Jin'er and cover her mouth with cloth, muffling her words and shouts.

I'm doomed! He knows!

The wolf man carried my freezing body. Then he turned to his monstrous horse and mounted us in one smooth movement. Bending over his saddlebow with me in his arms, he controlled his horse and galloped ahead.

'Jin'er. The twins. The other guards.. Did they all died?' My face becomes paler. I think I'm going to throw up.

"Soldiers!" Came shouts from one side.

The man's gripped on my waist became unbearably tight. His raspy breathing assailing my neck. I heard him clicking his tongue in annoyance.

"Stop!"

The horse galloped faster. The harsh wind assaulting my face. Shouts turned into screams. And I am not strong enough to peek what's happening behind us.

"Bai Suxin!"

My heart leaped at the familiar voice.

"Stop!"

Suddenly, the horse stamped and loudly neighed. The abrupt stop, shot us forward. I screamed without a sound. The man enveloped me in his embrace, protecting my frail body as we stumbled and fall to the hard ground.

When I opened my eyes, I saw the horse crying loudly in front of us, an arrow embedded to its left leg.

The wolf man grunted before hurrying us to stand and run. But— why am I running away with him? My petite body was dragged with him. I panted as we reached the cliff.

The legendary.. cliff scene!

"Stop!"

When I lifted my eyes, armed soldiers surrounded us. The wolf man sneered as he held his sharp knife to my neck.

I gulped.

"Suxin!"

Li Han steadily dismounted from his high horse. He stood in front of us, his crazy eyes flashed in red. His handsome face, his dark brocade and even his shoes were heavily bloodstained.

'M-mother!'

"Let her go and I'll let you die with a body intact." His long silver sword continued to drip blood.

Everyone waited but the wolf man didn't move for a long time. The atmosphere was so tense that even breathing became hard for me.

'This scene.. is too much for my weak heart.' I want to just faint.

"I-I'm.. s-scared." Finally, I found my shaking voice, I whispered weakly.

It all happened so fast.

"I apologize my lady but I wish to meet you again."

When his strong gripped on my waist loosened, as the wolf man pushed me forward, he unhesitatingly leaped towards the cliff. Staggering like a child; Li Han caught me in time before I'll have my head split open with those large rocks on the ground.

"Suxin." Li Han wrapped his arms around my shoulder.

The male lead shoved his heavy sword to his nearby subordinate. Then he lifted me up and carried me into his arms. The stench of blood from his body made me dizzy for a while.

"Kill." Came the word of command. I hiccuped.

"Yes!"

"J-Jin'er.. Where's Jin'er? Is she alright? My g-guards?" I never imagine myself hanging at the male lead like a koala, I sobbed.

"They're alright."

"Y-you're lying. Why are you lying?"

As though Li Han was trying to calm my trembling heart, his cool lips touched my forehead.

"They just all fainted."

"Blood." I murmured.

"They are injured but they're not dead. I'm not lying. I won't lie to you." His voice was calm contradictory to his bloodthirsty eyes. That's why, I don't believe him. He's lying!

"Suxin, I would never lie to you."
