Annie's P. O. V

I was at the convienience store grabbing a few foods i need, while waiting in line I thought about armin.

A week had passed since i started meeting Armin in my dreams.

In that week i found that everytime the sun sets on that dream world was the time I'll start disappearing because I'm about to wake up in the real world,and also almost everytime i arrive on that dream land the sun is rising or about to rise.

I snapped back to reality as i payed for my items.

Walking out from the store i heard someone yelling help from the nearby alley,  I rushed and checked to see what was going on.

There an old lady was being  robbed by a man who was trying to snatch her purse away.

I grabbed the man's shirt and punched him in the gut and kicked him on the knees till he fell to the ground.

Are you okay ma'am? I turn to the old lady.

Yes.. Thank you for helping me young lady. She said sighing in relief.

I called  hitch to arrest this guy. Since i wasn't on duty right now and i got no handcuffs with me.

The old lady still kept thanking me while i felt a bit uncomfortable at her praising me..i just don't know how to take compliments.

Say would you like to have some dinner with me? She asked me kindly.

Uhh... No offence madam but i don't really go to dinner with strangers even if you seem nice... Im sorry.  I apologetically spoke.

Oh! Where are my manners,  Im ymir fritz. I understand why you would refuse my offer after all we just met.  But...you met someone before.. But it felt like you've known them already right? You  feel a connection like no other towards that stranger you met on a dream. Ymir eyed my shocked face.

How.. Do you know that....? Just who was this woman?  How does she know about my dreams.

I'll  tell you  over dinner,  now come on dear... My daughter maria makes the best soup!

-timeskip, at ymir's home-

I sat on the couch while ymir sat beside me, her daughter was cooking in the kitchen and while we waited i asked for an explanation  about  earlier.

You see.. When i was a child i could remember a few memories i didn't think was mine.. As i got older i realized that.. Those memories were mine but not from this time or life... It was from my first life... The first lifetime i lived. Ymir stared at the roof recalling the times she remembered her past self's  traumatic life. Ha.. Let's  just say my past was not a good life. Ymir sadly smiled.

I nodded at her listening to every word.

Then i could also remember being in this place..that had sand spread everywhere...i could recall building Giants? No. Titans..yes those creatures from  years ago. And i also did something whenever i got bored..   There was this beautiful tree with  branches that weren't ordinary..They were the life branches of every living eldian.

I found a long red thread in the sand and proceeded to tie it on the life branches, the red string as people know it now is what i connected to different people attaching their hearts to a soul that would complete half of their hearts. And I remember tying a red string to someone who resembles you, to answer your question from when we met,  I recall watching over a blonde guy....beside him was you.... Right? I could see the invisible string that tangled through dreams and time itself, and then.... After watching over the living eldians for a little longer i passed on...to live a new life.
