. Court trial and Dinner with the Leonhardts.

After the day annie and armin went to the cafe,  armin had immediately arranged a court trial for mr.leonhardt so he could be released as soon as possible.

Why did he do this?  Well he wants to be able to have Mr. Leonhardt's blessing and permission to date his one only daughter annie.

But it was also because Mr. Leonhardt himself felt familiar to Armin that it's like he's seeing his own family member in prison.

So he did everything in his power, laying down all the evidences he's found and the witness he acquired to connect it to the true suspect kenny Ackermann and his now widespread group of serial killers and thieves.

Annie was not aware of the trial, he personally asked captain levi to keep it a secret from  her and keep her distracted. So annie was currently sent on a mission to investigate one of kenny ackerman's previous hideout.

Annie's P. O. V

Pieck,Eren, me and the one leading us was Sir Mike.

We searched the abandoned warehouse where the ripper and his gang apparently stayed in.

When Captain levi first heard of the case, he was furious. Since they have a similar last name I'm  guessing those two are connected or related somehow.  Eren also seemed uneasy finding out Kenny's last name.

There's a strong scent of.... illegal drugs... Sir Mike remarked.

We didn't see any sign of it though, but that's why sir mike was here he was well known for his strong sense of smell stronger than any k-9 dogs we have.

Guys! Take a look this!  Pieck came out of one of the storage rooms holding a file.

What's  that pieck?  Eren asked inspecting the folder pieck gave sir mike.

Apparently they are having a recruitment program..to strengthen their man power and for a faster circulation of their illegal drug business....pieck spoke seriously.

Mike was reading the file his mouth formed into a deep frown.

I see,  well done putting all of the information together pieck. The file is actually pretty vague and im surprised you connected the dots.  Mike complimented pieck and handed me the file.

Annie secure this evidence, and eren come with me let's  search the upper floor.  Mike ordered and we saluted.

I put the dusty folder inside a zip lock and put it inside our car.

Pieck who followed me went inside the car and layed down on the backseat.

So~ how are you and Mr. Lawyer? She eyes me and gave me a teasing smile.

Lucky for me i had a natural stoic face which comes in handy in times like these.

Nothing. He's just my father's lawyer pieck , nothing more.  I lied.

Hmm. Do lawyers just give you bouquets?  And takes you out in a fancy cafe? Pieck raises a brow at me, her smile grew even more when she noticed my eyes got wider.

Don't lie to me annie~ I'm not the best detective in the police force for nothing.  I smell a lie when i hear one.  She winked and sat upright.

I sighed, we are just friends pieck.  I tell her but she wasn't buying it.

Doesn't seem that way to me. Pieck commented.

I do wish we were more... After all it's hard treating someone you  knew and loved for so many years as a new found friend. I thought.
