Armin's P. O. V

I sat on the table where eren asked to meet up, he called me on the phone yesterday about a friend of his needing help I was about to decline due to being very busy until he mentioned his friend's name, Annie Leonhardt. hearing that name alone...it sounded so familiar despite me never meeting anyone with that name. so I cancelled all of my meetings just to meet this client.

what made her special? I don't know either but why do I feel that longing feeling to see her again.. wait.. again? that was weird I never met her yet my mind says again. hm.

so when the day came for us to meet up I immediately went to the police station and even bumped into a girl on my way there, but what I didn't expect was the girl I bumped into was the Annie Leonhardt I'm meeting.

I stare at her who stood in front of the table looking shocked and surprised .

eren then motions for her to sit down and she followed.

so Armin this is- I cut eren off, ah we've met before eren.

as I said those words Annie stared at me with hope shining in her eyes, why though?

You see I accidentally bumped into ms.leonhardt on my way here.. I tell eren. and looked at Annie's somewhat disappointed face and she turned her gaze on the floor beneath her.

Ah i see well I'll leave you two together so you can talk about the case, byee see you guys later. with that eren left leaving just the two of us here sitting in silence,  it wasn't awkward though. there was a sense of familiarity around the air that I couldn't understand.

Annie's P.O.V.

I feel stupid. Stupid for hoping that he remembers. I just want to slap myself right now.

Why did I even expect him to remember... After all I only knew about my past life due to those magical dreams I've gotten these past few days...

I was looking down, I didn't want to look straight in his eyes or else I might get reminded of.... The day I said goodbye to his past self.  Just him being near is enough to make my heart pound louder.

Ahem* Armin faked a cough to grab my attention, I swallowed the lump in my throat I wanted to tell him everything... But in this lifetime... This is the first time we met. So doing that would make me seem insane in his eyes.

I gathered my courage and faced him. There it is. Those same piercing ocean blue eyes, that looked at me in fear as the female titan, stared at me longingly when I was encased in a crystal, glanced at me painfully when he left to save the world, lovingly followed my eyes when we last danced and cried for me when I died.

Third person P. O. V

The two momentarily stared at each other, Armin who called Annie's attention was struck with deja vu when their eyes met. It's like it happened already. They were both silent again what their words couldn't express the eyes showed.

Armin's eye were filled with wonder, how is a woman he just met making him feel like they've known each other for thousands of years now?

Annie's eyes were a mix of happiness and sorrow, she was glad that she found him but at the same time sad fully knowing that they were back to square one. From past lovers in their past lifetime to Strangers who just met in the present with an unknown future whether they can be together like before.

After a while Armin composed himself and introduced himself properly.

I'm Armin Arlert and I'll be your father's lawyer Ms. Leonhardt. He offered Annie his right hand for a handshake. No need to reintroduce Armin.... We've already met before. She thought before she shook his hand, Annie then  blinked when she thought she saw something. For a moment she swore she saw the red thread it was no longer tangled or stretching from miles away. It just floated comfortably around them knowing they've found each other yet again.

Armin enjoyed the small moment of feeling her small soft palms, weird why am I feeling so much for a person I've just met? I don't understand....... But I want to get to know you Annie leonhardt Armin thought to himself.

So there they were tied by a string that pulls them back to each other again when separated but now restarting as strangers,

the two talked about the case. when everything was settled annie was about to leave when Armin held her wrist making her reminisce of that one dream she had.. no.. Her past memories... Of being in a boat and Armin stopped her from leaving just like this holding her wrist firmly as if she'll slip away.

Do you need anything else Mr. Arlert? She formally addressed him.

Ah... Please just call me Armin, and if you don't mind may I call you just Annie? Armin nervously asked. Gone was the confident professional lawyer.

Sure... Armin. Annie couldn't help but smile softly. Now can I go now? She asked.

No. Armin blurted out which he himself regrets his sudden reply.

Excuse me? Annie was confused but she found his frustrated face amusing.

I-I.... I mean can we meet up again? He shyly asked still embarrassed from earlier.

Yes. Annie answered almost immediately and gave Armin her number.

Armin then finally let go of Annie, grinning from eye to eye when she gave him her number. He doesn't know why he's feeling this giddy but one thing is for sure he's falling in love with a girl he just met like some Disney princess.

Annie left the cafeteria clenching her chest, damn it... She felt suffocated from holding in her emotions. She wanted to hug and kiss him right then and there but she is aware that she'll have to slow down her pace after all her and Armin have history but he doesn't know it.

So for now they'll stay Lovers from another Lifetime.
