Saturday at 5:30 p.m. -

"Landyn, it's time to leave," I tell him as I step into his 'Superman' themed bedroom, where he has been reading one of his books for the last fifteen minutes.

Both of us love reading, and every night before he sleeps, we read a chapter from a chapter book until it's finished. He and I read together, and once the chapter is complete, then I tuck him into bed with a hug, a kiss, and an 'I love you'.

Landyn eagerly nods while he places his 'Clark Kent' bookmark into his 'Magic Tree House' book, leaves it on his nightstand with a bright smile. He then quickly climbs down off his bed to run over to me, clasping my right hand with his tiny left hand.

"Let's go, papa, before we're late!" he hollers while tugging on my land with a giggle.

Driving the ten minutes to the cafe, I park my black, 2010 Jeep Laredo in the cafe's parking lot. Unbuckling myself as does Landyn, I climb out, shut the door before I open Landyn's door, so he can climb out. Taking his left hand into my right with a smile at him as I say; "We're going to go over to the flower shop across the street to get Mrs. Leone some flowers."

Landyn grins up at me while asking; "Can I pick out some for her, too?"

Nodding as I look both ways of the street before walking us across while replying; "Of course you can, Lan."

"Yeah!" he cheers while bouncing up onto the sidewalk.

Opening the door to 'Rosa's Flowers', I let Landyn walk inside in front of me. Looking around at all of the beautiful, and wonderful smelling flowers as does Landyn, and I tell him; "Okay, you can pick out two flowers, and I will, too."

"Okay, papa!" he agrees with awe in his voice, and with wide blue eyes as we take in everything.

Landyn picks out a yellow and orange rose, and an orange lily, while I pick out a pick and white orchid, and a light pink carnation. Stopping at the counter, where the lady starts totaling the flowers when Landyn tugs on my hand lighty.

Looking down at him with a raised eyebrow, he says much to my surprise; "Papa, can we get one for mister Lee, too?"

Mister Lee is Mr. Leone.

"Sure, baby, that's a wonderful idea! Why don't you go pick one out for him?" I reply with a fond smile - he's very thoughtful for wanting to include Mr. Leone.

Landyn bounces off for a second before bouncing back with a red rose, which he eagerly hands to the lady with a toothy grin.

"That will be $15.50, please," she says as she wraps the four flowers in a plastic holder with a rubber band, after making sure each flower stem has that green watery thing on the ends.

Handing her my card, she runs it before handing it back to me, and I place it in my wallet, which I slip into my back left pocket of my dark denim jeans. She then hands me a pen and reciept to sign as my copy of the reciept prints off, and once I've handed both items back, she hands me my copy with a smile, and a 'have a nice day.'

Handing Landyn the single rose to carry, which he happily does while I take the bouqet for Mrs. Leone, we leave the shop. Carefully walking back across the street to the cafe, hand in hand, we enter and wait to be seated. We're seated at a table facing the door, after I explain to the man that we are waiting for two more people.

Five minutes later, Mr. Leone and his mum enter the cafe with Mrs. Leone's lef hand clasped onto her son's crooked right elbow. I see Mr. Leone tell the man I had spoke too, and then the worker gesturing his head toward Landyn and I in question. The three of them look over at us, and I see Mr. Leone nod as he replies something to the man. Mr. Leone and his mum make their way over to us, and I stand to hand Mrs. Leone the flowers with a shy smile.

"Thank you, boys," she grins as she gently smells the flowery fragrence. "These are beautiful."

"Here, mister," Landyn tells Mr. Leone with a grin as he holds ther rose out to him to take.

Mr. Leone takes it with a slight blush coating across his high cheekbones; "Thank you, young man."

"My name is Landyn Michael Daniels," my boy replies proudly with a smile. "Papa's name is Londyn Michael Daniels."

Sitting down with Mr. Leone across the table from me after he helped his mum settle into her chair next to him. Each of them placing their flowers on top of the table at the ends.

"So, what's good here to eat?" Mr. Leone questions me as we look over the menus while Landyn colors on his paper menu with a blue crayon.

"Everything is good here, but personally Landyn and I like the pizzas, and chicken tenders with homemade fries," I reply with a tiny smile. "Mrs. Leone, you haven't been here before?"

"Please call me Adelle, Londyn," she replies with a motherly smile at me. "And no, I've never been here before, but I have been meaning, too."

"Okay, I will try, Miss Adelle," I smile, completly uncomfortable calling her by her first name.

"How about we order a large pizza to share?" Mr. Leone suggests looking between the three of us.

"That's fine with us," I reply when I notice the excited look on Landyn's face at the mention of pizza.

"What kind of toppings?" Miss Adelle questions as she reads the list of toppings available on the menu.

"We eat anything, but anchovies," I reply with a big grin at their shocked expressions.

"Alright, a large pizza with everything, but anchovies," Mr. Leone replies with his own wide grin at us.

Just then Miss Jay walks over to our table with a tender smile at all of us as she says; "Hello! How is everyone tonight?"

All of us reply as Landyn hops off his seat to hug her tightly before sitting back down on his chair. She takes our order, along with the drinks before heading toward the kitchen to tell Mickey, the cook, our order as she fills the drinks.
