"What are you doing here, Alecsander?" I sigh as he stands in front of me while silently starring at me.

"I came to see if I can take you and Landyn out on a date tonight?" he finally replies with a soft, hopeful smile.

"Sorry, but no," I simply state with a shake of my head.

He frowns at me before realization crosses over his facial features; "I'm sorry, you're spending time with your friend, and son tonight."

"You are correct as I do have plans for tonight already. Besides, I'm happy being single, and focusing on my son and job," I tell him as I notice the delivery person pulling into the driveway.

Alecsander turns slightly to look where I am before he says when he focuses back on me; "Please Londyn, one date, and I promise to be on my best behavior."

Sighing heavily as I reply; "If I agree to a date, and I still feel like I do now, will you leave me alone?"

"Yes, I promise," he eagerly agrees with a nod of his head with a small silly grin.

Handing the delivery girl a five dollar tip, I then take the two boxes with a smile before she leaves, and I tell Alecsander; "Fine. Landyn and I will meet you at the Starside Cafe at 5 p.m. tomorrow. Then we will go to the park afterwards for a little while, so Landyn can play."

"Great! Thank you so much, Londyn, and I promise you won't regret this!" he excitidly replies while handing me the rose before he leaves.

Sighing as I rest the edge of the bottom box against my right hip, so I can close the door with my left hand. Walking into the kitchen, I place the boxes onto the top of the island next to the plates and sodas, and I realize that both of my friends are silently starring at me.

"What?" I innocently question while I open the lids of the cardboard boxes.

"I understand why you are irritated with him, but I'm glad you are going on a date with him tomorrow night, Lon," Luke says gently as Makahal nods in agreement with him.

Shrugging my shoulders at them as I grab a plate to place several slices, and a breadstick onto my plate; "Then you heard me tell him that if I still feel as I do, then he leaves me alone."

They drop the subject when I sigh heavily again while chewing on my bottom lip in thought. They fill their plates, too before the three of us each grab a can of soda, and head into the living room to eat. They sit on the couch together while I sit in the recliner chair.

"Is Landyn at Lizzy's tonight?" Luke asks before taking a bite of pizza.

"Yup. Her mum is dropping him off after lunch tomorrow," I reply with a smile after swallowing my bite.

There are two rapid knocks on the door causing me to groan in frusteration. Walking to the door, I open it as Luke and Makahal scan through the available movie titles to watch while we eat. Blinking rapidly at the person who is standing in front of me with a stupid, happy grin on their face, and I become very angry at their presence.

"What in the hell are you doing here, Marcy?" I demand.

She hasn't changed much in five years except for her age, like we all have. She still has her thin build, blond hair that matches Landyn's, and blue eyes.

She smiles expectently at me while she says; "I'm here to see my son, of course, Londyn. Where is he?"

"No. You have no right to see my son. Remember, you wanted nothing to do with him, and signed off all your right to him to me. You wouldn't even look at him, or hold him the day he was born. Leave now, or I am calling the police since I don't have to let you see him."

Shutting the door, it stops part way when Marcy places her foot in the way as she says; "Londyn, I'm sorry, okay? I was young and dumb then, and I want to meet our son, please?"

She tries pouting at me while batting her eyelashes at the same time, making me loudly scoff at her; "No, and that's my final word. Now leave my property, or I'm calling the police to have them remove you."

I shut and lock the door in her shocked face. Entering the living room, I tell them that Marcy was here to see Landyn, and how I'm very glad he is at Lizzy's tonight. I'm glad she couldn't get an accidental look at him since she doesn't deserve to see him.

Plopping down onto the chair after grabbing my plate and soda off the coffee table, I am over Marcy's unexpected apperance, and Alecsander's persisitance.

"Has Marcy ever seen Landyn?" Makahal asks as we start eating again.

"Nope, she didn't even see or hold him the day he was born," I sigh, which I realize I have been doing a lot over the last week.

Makahal sadly gasps with a shake of her head; "That's horrible, just horrible."

"Yup, she's not going to see him if I can prevent it," I replyas I stare at my soda can. "She made her choice, so she has to live with it now."

"So what are you two doing tomorrow?" I ask them to take my mind off everything that's stressing me out.

"We are going to go to the beach, swim for a while, then lie out on the sand," Luke tells me with a soft smile at his girlfriend. "Then we are going to eat at a cafe on the boardwalk before surfing for a while."

"What about you?" Makahal asks as she leans into Luke's side with a content smile.

"Clean and grocery shopping before Landyn comes home. I'm not sure what we're doing until we meet Alecsander," I shrug as I stand to go grab more food.
