"Hey Londyn," Luke says sticking his upper body into the break room Monday during my forty-five minute lunch break.

Glancing up from the book I'm reading while eating to say; "What's up, Lukie?"

He playfully growls at me for the nickname that he doesn't like which causes me to grin as he answers; "You have a visitor up front."

Frowning as I close my book with the bookmark in place, I say; "Thanks, babe. Do you know who it is?"

He shakes his head while saying with a smile; "Nope, but the guy has a British accent if that helps."

"Shit," I mutter as I instantly know who it is while I follow Luke down the hallway to exit into the front are.

Luke gives me a funny look as I frown at Alecsander, who is smiling brightly at me; "Hello Londyn. I'm sorry to bother you at your work, but I don't know how else to contact you."

I stop a foot away from him, I cross my arms over my chest asksing; "What's up?"

I hate to admit that Alecsander looks damn fine in his fitted Armoni taylored suit that hugs his body deliciously. The dark gray color brings out his natural tanned skin, and blue eyes as does his dark blue tie.

"I was wondering if you and I could meet up for coffee this afternoon at the end of your shift to talk?" he hopefully asks.

"Why?" I ask as I gesture him to follow over to the side, so we can speak a little more privately.

"To talk about Landyn's surrogate, and what the truth about her really is," he seriously replies.

"There's nothing to discuss as it's not any of your buisness. Landyn is my son, and everything is legal on his birth certificate," I grit through clenched teeth as I'm pissed.

"Okay, how about we talk about whatever you would like?" he suggests holding his hands up in surrender.

"Sorry, I can't. Single parent, remember, so I don't have anyone to watch Landyn for me. Thanks, but no thanks," I reply still pissed off. "Now, I'm going to go back and finish my lunch break. Excuse me, sir."

Not waiting for a reply from Alecsander, I walk back throught the door I came out of after swiping my ID tag. Forcefully sitting down in the chair I had been previously sitting in before I start eating the rest of my lunch angerly.  I fume siliently about the audacity of Alecsander, and it seems like he thinks I have done something illegal with my son. I would never do anything to jepordize my baby boy's safety, and happiness. Throwing my trash away, I place my lunch bag back into my backpack along with my book before walking back to my station.

"Thanks Jenny," I softly say as she stands from the chair with a nod and a smile at me.

"You're visitor is attractive, Landyn," she whispers with a wink before walking away.

Softly groaning at her retreating form, I settle in the seat as I smile at the elderly gentleman approaching the counter.

"Hi Mr. Soren," I greet the 80-year-old man with a bright smile.

"Hello Londyn," he warmly greets back with his shaky voice. "I'm here to see doctor Yancy."

"Alright. All your information the same, Mr. Soren?" I ask as I check him in.

When he nods, I have him sit down with a promise that he will be called back soon. The rest of my shift goes smoothly, but I'm exhausted by the time Luke and I are walking out of the building at the end of the day.

"So, what did Mr. Hottie want?" he carefully asks as we walk toward our vehicals in the staff parking lot on the side of the building.

"I will explain everything later, I promise," I yawn loudly. "I'm too tired right now."

"Okay, but you know I'm here to listen, and offer advice if needed," he offers like the awesome person he is.

"I know, and thanks Lukie," I tiredly smile at him. "How was your date with Mikahal last night?"

Each of us lean back against our cars while he grins excitidly at me; "It went great! We're having another date tomorrow night at my appartment."

"Are you cooking for her?" I question since Luke has awesome cooking skills.

Luke and Mikahal have been seeing each other for two weeks now, and they seem to be getting along very well.

"Of course I am!" he scoffs with a smirk. "I'm going to make my lasagna for her."

"Nice!" I praise as Luke makes the most amazing lasagna ever, and it's a secret family recipe.

"Alright man, go get my godson, and I will talk to you tonight," he says pulling me into a tight hug before we climb into our vehicals.

Picking Landyn up from his after school daycare, we go home so he can do his homework, have a snack, then dinner at 6 p.m., a bath, watch a movie, a story, and then bedtime. Upon arriving at home, we climb out of the Jeep, and walk toward the front door, where we find a bouquet of white, orange, and yellow roses in a vase sitting in front of the door. Picking up the white vase holding the dozen roses, I find a card tucked in with the flowers.

Taking the card out, I open it to read what is written inside with neat penmenship; "Londyn -

I'm sorry for upsetting you on Saturday, and today at your job. That was never my intention, and I hope these flowers are a good start to my apology.

Yours truly,

Alecsander Leone"

Rolling my eyes at the note, I unlock the door after placing the card back into the flowers. Openin the door, I have Landyn enter the house before me. We take our shoes off by the door before he walks into the kitchen to leave his school bag on top of the table while I hang  my bag on the hook near the door. Enterint the kitchen, I place the vase of flowers on the counter by the sink with a small sigh.

"Papa, who gave you those?" Landyn asks climbing onto a chair at the island.

"Mr. Leone did," I reply with a forced smile.

"Oh," is all he says with a serious expression, and after making him a snack of apple slices and peanut butter along with a cup of milk, the doorbell rings.

"I'll be right back," I tell him as I go to answer the front door where I can see Landyn clearly.

Opening the door, I find a floral delivery gal with a bouquet of pink carnations in another vase and she aks; "Are you Londyn Daniels?"

"Yes, I am," I reply while taking the flowers with another note card tuck inside. "Thank you."
