Every day since Monday, I have received two dozen flowers from Alecsander, and today is Friday. I have just arrived home from work alone as I have dropped Landyn off at Lizzy's home for the night. Lizzy's mum, Angela, is dropping him off tomorrow around 1 p.m. Luke and Mikahal are coming over in two hours at 6 p.m. to have dinner and hangout.
Carrying in the vase of orange lilies inside the house after I unlock the door. Toeing off my black and white tennis shoes by the door, I hang up my backpack, and place the vase on the coffee table in the living room with two other vases of flowers. I need to figure out how to contact Alecsander to tell him to stop with the flowers. I have nine dozen bouquets around the house now with the one I just brought home from work.
Sighing heavily as I walk to my bedroom while stripping from my Scooby-Doo themed scrubs, I toss these into the hamper by the bathroom door before entering the bathroom. Turning the water on in the shower to the hottest tempertaure possible, I wait for the water to heat by brushing my teeth. Stepping inside the standup shower, I duck my body under the pulsating water to let it flow from my head to my feet, and start to ease my tense body and muscles. I then scrub my lavender-vanilla scented shampoo and conditioner into my hair before scrubbing the same sented body wash all over my body, and then rinse off.
Turning off the water, I step from the shower to dry myself off with two fluffy, dark gray towels, and wrap one around my waist before leaving the room. Entering my bedroom, I walk into my large closet to find clothes - a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a pair of black boxer briefs, and a black and gray stripped long sleeve shirt. Dropping the towel, I dress inside the closet before grabbing my wet towel and lie it over the hamper, and then leave my room to the kitchen to grab my cell from my backpack.
Using an online app, I order pizzas and pay, leaving a note on the order that it's to be delivered by 6:15 p.m. before I enter the living room to sit on the couch. Placing my feet on the end of the coffee table, I use the remote to turn on the television to search through a streaming app to watch 'Chicago Fire' for a while before Luke and Mikahal arrive.
Grabbing my cell from beside me, I search for the phone number and address to Leone and Striker Law Firm. Once I find it, I take a screen shot of the information in case I need to go to the law firm in the future.
Clicking on the number provided, I listen as the line rings twice before a female voice answers; "Leone and Striker Law Firm, how may I help you?"
"Hi, I was wondering if Alecsander Leone is available?" I nervously reply.
"He is. Would you like to be transfered to his personal line?" she sweetly asks.
"Yes please, and thank you," I return as butterflies appear in my belly.
"You're welcome, and just a moment," she returns before the line is filled with classical music.
I'm on hold for about two minutes before the music clicks off, and is replaced by Alecsander's deep accented voice; "Alecsander Leone."
"You need to stop sending me flowers," I instantly say. "I appreciated the apology, I accept it. Now stop with the flowers, move on, and leave me alone."
"Londyn?" he confusdly asks when I have finished my rushed rant.
"Who else are you sending apology flowers too? Yes, it's Londyn," I growl out absolutly irritated.
"Landyn, I'm only sending apology flowers to you. I'm sorry for trying to pry into your personal life with Landyn. What you tell your son is your buisness, not mine," he replies. "But are you not worried he is going to find out whatever the truth is that you're hiding when he's older, and be angry with you?"
"What happened to staying out of my buisness?" I demand before continuing and not allowing him to answer the question. "I didn't lie to Landyn. His mother wanted absolutly nothing to do with him when he was born! She signed off all of her rights to me! She wouldn't even look at him, and she wouldn't even fucking look at him the day he was born! You think he should know all of this at 5-years-old? Should I also tell him that she thought he was a damn mistake?"
There is silence from Alecsander's side of the call for a moment, so I continue; "I know what it's like to be rejected by the woman who is supposed to be your mum, and love you!"
When he still doesn't answer, I loudly sigh before ending the call. Tossing the cell gently onto the couch next to me in frusteration. Focusing again on the television, I zone out until there is a loud knock on the door.
Bringing myself to my feet, I walk to the door, and open it with a smile; "Hey guys! Come on in."
Backing up a step so Luke and Makahal can enter before shutting the door behind them as Luke holds up a twelve pack of soda; "We brought drinks."
"Awesome. Dinner should be here in fifteen," I tell them as there is a knock on the door. "Or it's here now."
Opening the door expecting it to be a food delivery, but instead I'm face to face with Alecsander, who is holding a single orange rose in his left hand, and a timid smile on his lips.
"Landyn, do you need a hand carrying the food?" Luke asks as he comes up behind me. "Whoops, sorry."
Before I can even say anything, Luke turns around and walks back into the kitchen, as I focus on ALecsander again, who is now frowning while he asks; "Is that your boyfriend?"
His voice sounds hurt, and I cross my arms across my chest, as I say; "Not that it should matter, but no, he's my best friend."
