Monday at work - 1:15 p.m. -

"Excuse me?" a deep, smooth, Brittish accented voice says on the other side of the counter.

Looking up from the paperwork that I'm entering into the computer that I'm imputing from a patient that left earlier. I find myself starring at one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen in my life. The man is around 6'3", probably weighs two hundred pounds of ripped muscles from the way his clothes hug his body. The man has an olive skin complexion, dark brown hair, stubble on his chin, and light blue eyes.

Clearing my throat as I blush lightly when I realize I'm starring at him; "How may I help you, sir?"

"I'm here to pick up my mum from her appointment, but she isn't out here," he replies, and his accent is as sexy as he is.

"What's her name, sir?" I nervously ask, and then chew on my lower lip - a nervous habit of mine.

"Adelle Leone. She's been here since noon," he replies as he scratches at his facial stubble.

"Let me check with a nurse, and find out when she will be done, okay, sir?" I reply as I push my rolling chair back to stand up.

The man nods as I glance at my co-worker, Carrie, who is the other receptionist, she nods in understanding. Heading to the back area where the patient rooms are, along with the nurses station to ask Sheryl about Mrs. Leone.

Stopping next to Sheryl as she writes in a chart while leaning up against the nurses station; "Hey Sheryl, is Mrs. Leone almost done? Her son is here to pick her up."

Sheryl looks up at me with a smile as she nods; "Yup. She will be out in a couple of minutes, Londyn."

"Awesome, I will let Mr. Leone know. Thanks Sheryl," I reply walking back toward my station.

Settling back into my seat under the work area, I smile at Mr. Leone; "She will be out in a moment, sir."

He nods with the tinest smile in response before he walks a few feet away to lean back against the window with is arms folded against his chest. His muscles flexing throughout this entire bod at this movement, and I have to quickly look away before he catches me starring at him. A minute later, Mrs. Leone comes to stand in front of my window with a bright smile while she hands me her paperwork.

Taking it from er with my own broad smile at her, I quickly scan it before saying to her; "Okay, Mrs. Leone, Doctor Stevenson wants to see you again in two weeks. What day works the best for you to come back?"

I notice her son standing next to her as I started talking, and she looks up at him as she says; "What day can you bring me back in two weeks, Alecsander?"

"Friday would be the best," he replies looking at me as he answers her question.

Nodding silently, I click the mouse on Friday's date, two weeks from now to read off the available times; "Doctor Stevenson has several times available that day. 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:15 p.m. Which would you like?"

"I0 a.m. works fine," Mr. Leone replies as he smiles lovingly down at his mum.

Clicking on the 10 a.m. slot, I type in Mrs. Leone's name, and a few other needed items before printing off her reminder page. Pushing back the chair, I climb off to my feet, and walk the five feet to printer to take the page from it. Walking back to my station, I hand the paper to Mrs. Leone with a smile.

"See you in two weeks, Mrs. Leone," I say as she takes the paper from me. "Hope you have a good rest of your day."

"You too, Londyn," she returns with a wave and a smile as her son gives me a small smile.

Once they are out of the building, Carrie softly says; "He was checking you out, Lon."

Taking my eyes off the computer screen to look at her in confusion; "Huh? What are you talking about, Carrie?"

"Mrs. Leone's son, he was checking you out every time you weren't paying attention," she explains with a silly grin as she wiggles her brown eyebrows at me with a loud giggle.

"No, he wasn't, Carrie. You were imagining things," I agrue with her with a shake of my head as I focus on my work again. "If anything, he was probably irritated with me for something is all."

"Sure, Lon, sure," she sighs before changing the subject. "How's Landyn, your dad, and where is Luke today, I haven't seen him?"

Grinning to myself as I answer her; "Dad is doing good. He's coming over tonight to have dinner with Landyn and me since he's off set for a few days. Luke is off today visiting his granparents three towns over. Luke and I took Landyn out to lunch Saturday at Miss Jay's, and then we went to the bounce place for a few hours. All three of us had a blast at the bounce place! You and the kids should go with us next time."

"That sounds like a good idea! We should plan it soon!" she agrees. "What are you two doing this weekend?"

"Landyn is having his three friends over Friday night until Saturday after lunch, so we can't this weekend, sorry," I reply with a soft smile over at her.

"You are a brave man, Londyn," she giggles fondly. "Four kids, who are all 5-years-old, no thank you. When my three have friends over for the night, it's one friend each."

Cassidy is 9-years-old, Tyler is 7-years-old, and Miriah is 5-years-old - they are Carrie and her boyfriend, Taylor's children. Carrie and Taylor have been together for eleven years, almost twelve years.

Shrugging my shoulders at her with a smile as I place the paper I've just finished in the done tray to be filed away later. Grabbing a red folder from the 'to do' pile, I reply; "I do this once a month, so I'm used to them, and it makes Landyn happy. Next Friday night, he's going to Kyle's along with Lizzy and Asher."

"Awe, that is great!" she coos as we click away at the mouse and keyboards until we both have people to help.

"Are you looking for any one night stands? If you are, I might know someone who would be perfect for you," she asks once we're alone again twenty minutes later.

"Dude! You know I don't do one night stands! Besides, I'm not ready to date yet as my focus is on Landyn," I gasp completly shocked at her.

I should be used to Carrie's bluntness by now as this is one of her standard questions to me. Carrie and I have been working together for two years now.

"We need to find you -" she starts off again, completly ignoring my comment until I cut her off with a glare.

She clamps her mouth closed with a blush coating across her cheeks. I'm ready for 3 p.m. to arrive for the end of my shift. I'm ready to pick my baby up from daycare, and spend the rest of the day with him.
