Swallow

Chapter 1.7:

I bolted down the stairs quickly behind Riley as she ran away from me. I was right on her heels in case she fell down the stairs.  She was still wobbly on her feet and I was about to be sick every time I watched her little foot barely hit the edge of the step.  If she told me she wanted to go back down, I would have walked in front of her or even let her jump on my back for a ride if I had to.  I may have thought about wickedly using her body tonight, but I didn't want her to hurt herself in a stupid drunken accident.

It didn't help that I felt slightly guilty she was so trashed. I had pushed her into it which meant if she got hurt then it would be my fault.

I was relieved when she made it down in one piece without any broken bones or a head injury.

Aiden's eyes narrowed at me when I reached the bottom right behind her.  I was almost positive that he had already noticed that I was following her around the house.  All I would need was for him to open his big mouth and tell JD I was stalking his little sister tonight.  He would throw me out on my ass in a second if he found out.

Riley stumbled into the kitchen and grabbed another full double shot glass off the table. She waved it around in the air and downed it before I could even get completely in the room.   

Someone had pulled out the Jagermeister while we were upstairs. Did they want to get this girl sick tonight?

"Riley...what the hell?" JD was staring at her with his mouth hanging open as he took in her outfit.  JD needed to get his priorities straight.  He should be more upset about how trashed she was than what she was wearing.

"Don't." She snapped out viciously at him.

Anna started laughing so hard at them that she spit her drink out across the room. I cringed when I felt a few little droplets hit the side of my face. I scowled at her; that was fucking disgusting. It was a shame the look was wasted on her because she was too busy wiping the red fluid off her shirt to notice.

Riley's hand started inching closer to another full shot glass on the table. There was no way she could handle any more alcohol in her system. I snuck up behind her and grabbed the glass from in front of her before she could get to it.

Nope, little one. No more drinking tonight. You have had enough.

I smiled at her as I tried to play off the move like I just wanted another drink. In reality, I was pretty far gone and should have called it a night too. I threw back the shot before she could even complain about it. She looked like she was about to smack me across the face, but I didn't care. Riley was done drinking tonight and I would do everything in my power to make sure of it.

In my ten seconds of slowness, she reached across the table and stole another shot glass that Aiden had just poured for himself. She swallowed it down as Aiden watched her, grinning like a moron. 

I was going to punch him in the fucking face if he let her have anymore. This girl was going to end up in the ER if she continued drinking. She didn't know her limits and apparently, neither did anyone else.  I was getting pissed off at everyone in the room for letting her keep going.

"Let's go watch a movie. Kevin Smith, anyone?" Aiden suggested and looked over at Mark, who looked like a little kid being offered a surprise toy.

"Hell yeah." Mark barrelled out of the room, not needing to be told twice. Mark's personality always made me shake my head. That guy was always just a little bit off and constantly way too happy. 

"We're going to bed." Anna fake yawned as JD kissed her head.  I didn't fail to notice he had started moving his hands over her hips as she was bucking her ass back into him. Obviously, sleeping was not on the menu for either one of them.  I was bothered by the fact that he would leave his extremely wasted sister alone with a group of guys when she was vulnerable just to go have sex with a girl he could have anytime he wanted. Again, JD wasn't very bright sometimes.
