You kept your eyes so close to the ground
That you forgot about the stars
I wasn't with you the night you drowned
I still look for you in the barsMy pillow case is bent and twisted
All stained from tears and body marks
My mailbox empty, you missed it
Away from fears and heavy heartsWe took a chance, you took it slow
We tried and tried and hit our low
You should have kissed me one more time
I should have missed you when you were mine
