chapter twenty-six

(since some of you thought Taylor's ex was Harry Styles, I'm changing his name to Alex just to make things clear)

''Alex?'' I asked hesitant as I tried to get it in my head that he was standing right there.

''In all glory.'' he grinned and I couldn't help but to grin myself. He was standing in dark jeans, a grey t-shirt with a thin leather jacket as his dark ruffled hair was slightly air-messed, but it looked nice.

''What are you doing here?'' I asked with a smile and an almost shaking voice. He walked up to me and pulled me into a tight hug, which I responded to by placing my arms around him and sqeezed him lightly.

''I'm here on business.'' he smiled and we let go.

''Miss, here's your water.'' the bartender said behind me as I turned around and thanked her before I chunked the water down. I felt my heart race awway at the sight of Alex smiling at me.

''What kind of business?'' I asked with a shy smile.

''I got a promotion job for Hugo Boss, so now I travel the world.'' he said with a big and proud grin. I smiled at him and felt my heart thump a bit harder as he ran his hand through his rough hair. Suddenly I got a flashback from when I was back home and Alex and I were together at the highest point of our relationship and I ran my finger through his soft hair as we kissed.

''Oh..'' I breathed out as I tried to shake the memories out of my head. It was just so strange to see him. He was like a different part of another life that I had. 

''But what are you doing here? I haven't seen you in so long.'' he said and walked a little closer to me, looking into my eyes with a sad face.

''I moved here..'' I said simple, keeping out all the major pieces of the time I'd spent here as I looked into his beautiful grayish eyes.

''Oh...'' he said in the same way I just did. ''I tried to call you.'' he said in a hurt tone, making me feel kind of guilty for not returning any of his calls before we moved.

''I know.'' I said and took his hand in mine. The reason why we broke up was because my grandpa died. I was so upset and I couldn't handle being in a relationship at the time, even how much in love I was. Truth be told, I would probably still be with him if my grandpa hadn't died.

''I've missed you.'' he said low as I looked up at his face.

''I've missed you too, and I'm sorry about what happened.'' I said truthfully and squeezed his hand a bit. He nodded and turned his sad eyes into something a little more happier.

''But I am so happy I bumped into you here!'' he smiled and I chuckled back.

''Yeah, I thought no one knew about this place.'' I laughed as he grinned.

''Well one of my friends who is in the bathroom is a regular member here and he wanted me to see it.'' he grinned as i suddenly felty someone coming up by my side. 

''Who are you?'' a stern dark voice, whihch I knew all to well, spoke. I twisted my head and saw Luke with clenched jaws looking between Alex and me and down to our joined hands. I quickly let him go and let my arm fall down along my side. Alex looked at me with a suprised face as he turned his eyes over to Luke.

''Emh.. I'm Alex, Taylor's ex-boyfriend.'' he said polite and stretched out his hand for Luke to shake. I tensed up not knowing what Luke's reaction would be. He just stared at Alex with clenched jaws and burning eyes. I could already tell that he didn't like Alex.

''Okay..'' Alex mumbled slightly offended as he pulled back his hand, which Luke didn't shake. Obviously he didn't know who Luke was, and Luke didn't seem to like that.
