I don't know what to say so I just kept looking at the ring. I wanted to say something but I couldn't. Reggie was still there on one knee and I walked around him and looked out the window. I was just staring out the window with a blank mind not one answer came through expect for this one answer no in the back of my mind but I couldn't say it I didn't want to hurt him.

I was so sure she say yes but now I'm not so sure by how quiet she was so I went up to her and turned her around so she was facing me and she just shook her head no and I was crushed and quiet for a moment and I thought of all the people outside the room waiting for us to come out and congratulate us and I asked her " can we pretend for now?" and she said yes and I grabbed her hand and slipped the ring on her finger and walked out the room together holding hands. Everybody clapped and shouted congratulations and I put on a fake smile and thanked everybody we passed going downstairs and into the kitchen. I looked at Nicki and she looked sad and I nudged her and she looked at me and smiled and kept a smile on her face as everyone talked to her but her eyes told a different story and I didn't know how to fix it. Sadness and disappointment showed on her face and I wanted to know why but right now isn't the time. We talked and ate but I could tell Nicki wanted to be out of here and I pulled her into the room and I told her if she wanted to leave she could and I'll tell everybody that you was just tired from everything we did today and she said no I'll stay and she went out the room and I followed her. The music was playing and she started to perk up and dance till everyone started to leave. I started to think she changed her mind but I was wrong when Chris came to the house after everyone left and I heard them talking about what should she do and he said to just follow her heart but she said I don't know how and he leaned into her and kissed her. I wanted to fuck him up when he did that but I didn't I just waited a few minutes till they were finished and went into the room. Chris seen me and left the room and I looked into her eyes and it told me all I needed to know she enjoyed that kiss and she started to speak and I hushed her and said I know I probably rushed things and I'm sorry but you don't have to say anything I already know and I grabbed her hand and slipped the ring off her finger and put it in my pocket. Walked out the room kissed RJ who was asleep on the couch and left the house. I got in the car and headed back to Miami alone.
