Chapter 2- He left me

Reggie

I can't believe this why would she do this to me I mean I know I said that I didn't want no children and I told her to get an abortion but if she would have just told me that she was keeping it I would have just accepted it and I would have taken care of him anyway. Now I'm on this plane going to Houston Texas to meet a kid who just turned two last month and I didn't even get to celebrate it with him. I know one think I can't trust Nicki no more she lied to me about something so important that I just can't trust her no more. "Who are these people that he's staying with?" I asked Nicki. What she said pretending like she didn't hear me. "Don't make me say it again" I asked her. " oh they are my friends Honey and Michael who are married and they wanted to have kids but Honey can't have any so she said she would raise Reggie jr for me until I was ready to tell you about him they call him Jay but when I went to see him last week I told him how I was his real mom and how is real name is Reggie jr and he seemed okay with it " she told me. Okay but I'm still mad at you and I don't think I can ever forgive you for this I said. "That's fine I don't expect you to" she said and I just tried to put my mind at ease as the plane took off and I went to sleep.

Nicki

I was a little happy about finally getting this secret off my chest and I was hoping we could get past because he has my heart and I don't know how to fix this but I'll try to make him hate me less but I know it would take a long time. The plane landed and we got off the plane since we had no luggage we got in a cab and headed to the house. While I was in the car I texted Reggie's mother and I told her that I told him and she said it's about time. I smiled Ms. Sharon was the one person that was there for me when I got pregnant and she helped me when I went into labor early and she was also the one that told me I was pregnant and she understood when I told her how Reggie wanted me to get rid of it. We pulled up to the house and I rang the doorbell and Honey opened the door and said "Nicki I didn't know you were coming today". " yeah I bought someone with me today and I went inside first and Reggie followed behind me. She was like okay Jay is in his room he should be sleeping but you can wake him up if you want". "Okay'' I said and I headed into his room and I went inside and he was sleeping as soon as I crouched down to wake him up he opened his eyes and said "Mommy I had a dream you were coming today". "Oh yeah what happen in the dream?" " you said I going home with you". I laughed "I have someone for you to meet" I said who? You see that poster over your bed with that guy on it and you remembered I told you that was your daddy." Yeah he said as he shook his head yes and I said " well he's right outside the room do you want to meet him?" "Yes as a big smile spread across his face. I got up and went to go get Reggie and he was standing outside the room. "You ready?" I said as I pulled him inside the room when we reached Jay and I said " Reggie this is your son Reggie jr but you can call him jay right jay" I said " umm I like Reggie " he said " okay can I call you Reggie too or Rj?" I said "yeah" he said and I left the room so Reggie can get to know his son and I went to the living room where Honey was sitting at the table. I sat down across from her and said "how have you been?" "Good Michael and I aren't together anymore" she said. " why?" I said "because he said he's tired of taking care of a child that's not his and he doesn't love me anymore" she said. " aww I'm so sorry but I don't think you guys will get the amount that I said that you were going to get, I can only give $100,000 each instead of $500,000 because Reggie's too mad right now at me for me to even ask him" I said okay she said and just then Michael walked through the door and was like "hey Nicki". Hey I said Honey was like "Nicki came to take Jay back with her I assume right Nicki?" Yeah I said "well today is my lucky day" he said and he went into the kitchen to get something to eat. Honey went into the kitchen to talk to Michael and I went to go see what Reggie was doing and he was just talking and laughing at RJ who was dancing. Just then I heard Michael say LOOK I DON'T WANT 100,000 I WANT 500,000 AND A HOUSE THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING FOR.

I went to go see what was going on and Michael was like " Nicki I only want the amount that you first said and nothing less " and I was like " that's all I can give you " and Michael looked mad and just then Reggie walked in and said " aye man chill out and let's talk about the problem" and Reggie walked into the living room and sat down and I went to go check on Rj and when I went into the room Rj was like " mommy I going with you when you leave this time right" he said yeah you want to help me pack up your stuff ? Yeah and he started to put all his toys in the trunk that was in front of the bed. I went to his closet and pulled out his suitcases and started putting his clothes inside and when I was done with those bags and they were full and the closet was empty I went to the linen closet to get some more suitcases and I started to take the clothes that was in his dresser and I put them all in the suitcases and I looked around the room and it was empty except for the bed and I asked Rj do you want the pictures on the wall?" no I want this one he said holding the picture frame he had in his hands and it was a picture of me and Reggie sitting next to each other. We looked so into each other and I know that now we will never be in love like that ever again.

Reggie

I heard a lot of loud talking and I went into the kitchen and there was Michael I believe yelling about LOOK I DON'T WANT 100,000 I WANT 500,000 AND A HOUSE THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING FOR AND I ONLY WANT THE MONEY YOU SAID WE WERE GOING TO GET FIRST" he said " alright let's just calm down and talk about it " and we went into the living room and I begin with this " Nicki said you were going to give me 500,000 but she only has 100,000 so you will get 100,000 a piece and that is the end of this discussion if you want more I suggest you sell this house" and I pulled at my checkbook and wrote them each a check and handed it to them. Then I went to go check on my son before I got there I seen Nicki going up some stairs so I followed her. I went up the stairs and there was a bunch of boxes everywhere I assumed this was the attic. "What are doing?" I asked her "just trying to get the rest of this stuff out the attic so we can take it with us" she said. " how do you expect us to take all this stuff with us?" I said to her. "Umm we could rent a car and drive it back to New Orleans" she said. " who's going to drive ? " me and you can take turns " she said. " no how about me and Reggie take a flight back and you get a car and you drive back with all this stuff by yourself since this was all your idea" I said. "I guess I could" she said. " alright then that's what we will do oh yeah take off those shoes before you go down these stairs" and I took a few boxes downstairs with me. I got downstairs and I didn't know Nicki was right behind me and I heard her slip and I caught her and she said thanks. "Didn't I tell you to take those heels off" I said. " yeah but your always there to catch me when I fall" she said. "Yeah but not anymore your own" I said and put her down and left the house.
