A Week Later

I have settled into a daily routine. Up by seven, walk to school, during free period I come home and teach the younger kids some basic lessons. Then, the older kids, their lessons are agility an strategizing. Then I go for a jog around the perimeter and eats dinner. Finally, I go to bed.

Right now I am heading towards home. Home. I feel like Moonstone is more of a home than Shale Stone ever was.

I still haven't told them about my powers, but I did discover a couple new ones. Omnilingualism, plant communication, and the elements. Guess they're not just mental powers anymore.

A ball came hurdling at me. Of course, I caught it and threw it back, but out of reflex. I was still buried deep in my thoughts. I dropped off my in my room then made my way to the training field.

"Andy!" Yelled voices when I got there. The little kids I taught. Their ages range from ten to thirteen.

Suddenly, as I entered the field, I was crushed into a group hug by twelve little figures. I snapped out of my thoughts and instantly smile greatly. These kids always brighten up my mood.

"Hey guys! What do you say we go for a little walk to do our lesson today?" I said.

"Yes!" They all agreed simultaneously making me laugh.

"Okay, let's go!" We took off walking down my favorite path. Once we got far enough we stopped. "Okay, now this is my favorite spot to sit an listen to nature, so we are going to do just that. Now sit down and close your eyes, listen closely to the sounds of nature."

After five minutes I heard a twig snap, about half a mile away from where we were. The twig's notice came from the direction of the boarder and since we were pretty close to there I panicked the slightest bit.

"Everyone quickly grab a partner and stay close to me." I instructed. We started walking away from the sound, me closest to the sound in case it attacked. When we finally arrived back I told the patrol wolves to watch for anything out of the ordinary.

We were talking in a little group about what we heard in the woods. Out of nowhere a flaming arrow whizzed by me, headed straight for a kid. Out of reflex and not thinking about concequences , my arm shot out levitating the arrow to a stop inches from the kids face. Then I put the arrow out and ran over to the now frightened kid.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Once they snapped out of their trance, I yelled "Who shot that arrow so recklessly!"

Everyone was just gaping at the arrow. Then I realized... I had just used my powers...in public.

"How did that happen?" Someone asked.

"She did it," someone else said pointing to me.

"What did I do?" I said Convincingly looking confused.

"You stopped the arrow before it hit nick! But how?!" I sighed in defeat.

"I have to talk with Alpha Sean." I said making my way up the stairs and to his study. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

"Come in."

I walked in and sat on one of the chairs in front of him.

"I heard what happened outside. What happened exactly? How did the arrow suddenly stop and the fire disappear?" He questioned.

"I-I-I did it," I stuttered. "You see my eyes are unusual color. That is because when I was born I was gifted with powers.
