[Uryu's POV]

Our crash landing could've been worse, I thought as I gingerly moved to a standing position. I had a few scrapes but at least nothing had stained my pure white clothing.

Glancing around, it looked as though we'd traveled to another era. All the walls were of uniform height and colour, and was relatively void of anyone else for the time being. A soft whimper made me turn, finding a half unconscious Orihime laying in the shallow crater we made upon entry.

I didn't waste any time trying to rouse her, instead, I pulled out my kit and bandaged her awkwardly positioned arm. Had it not been for her, I would've been more battered then I was.

Her skin was soft and warm, like she was abd she was breathing, which put my heart at ease. She was far too valuable to lose, and if Ichigo caught wind of it... Well, I didn't want to think about it.

[Orihime's POV]

My mind was so muddled, so worn from expelling so much power. . And the pain in my arm.. Well, Tatsuki hits me harder so I suppose it wasn't so bad.

I attempted to open my eyes, muttering something about Ichigo as I felt a pair of hands gingerly handling my arm carefully.

"Orihime?" The voice asked, concern thick in his tone.. it was Uryu. I had to admit, I was both disappointed and relieved. One, it wasn't Ichigo so I saved myself the embarrassment of stuttering and acting like a fool and second, I felt more at ease with Uryu. Weird as that sounded.

I opened my eyes to see him leaning over me; his expression of relief had me slightly concerned. I sat up, moving my small hand to rub over my sore arm. I stopped, finding it bandaged up and looked at Uryu confusedly.

"Did you...?" I gestured to my arm and to my astonishment, his pale cheeks burned.

"Well, you did hurt your arm because of me. If it weren't for me you wouldn't be hurt." He said in his usual curt tone, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"You carry a first aid kit?" I asked and his face was priceless. I giggled as he vehemently tried to explain himself, stumbling over his words.

[Uryu's POV]

I felt a little embarrassed, her powers of observation were a little sharper then I had once thought. Pushing up my glasses with my gloved hand, I decided it was better to start mapping out a perimeter. Soul Reapers had to have heard us crash land, and our anonymity wouldn't go unnoticed.

"We should get going, Orihime. I doubt we'd go unnoticed long." I spoke flatly, turning my back to the still sitting girl to survey our surroundings once more. The roof looks ideal, I thought to myself. I doubt they'd immediately spot us considering how large the rooftops are. We'd be safer as well. My ratii has doubled, or tripled since landing. Plus I'd have the advantage of using my arrows on those below us who'd try to attack.

No one was going to hurt Orihime. Not while I was with her.

Okay so this is loosely based off the manga, but it won't always be that way. Reviews appreciated, and so would views! Hope you guys will like it as I progress! There will be some cliffhangers to come ;)
