The Test

Anakin's POV:

I stormed out of my room. I saw the Father sitting by the large window, I ignited my lightsaber and walked towards him.

Cannot sleep? He asked. To strike an unarmed man is hardly the jedi way.

"You're a sith lord!" I shouted.

He stood up and grabbed my lightsaber blade and pushed it back into the handle. I starred at it in disbelief.

You have a very simple view of the universe. He said. I am neither sith nor jedi. I am much more And so are you.

"I see through your spells and visions, old man. Tell me what is going on here." I said, I am Starting to loose patience.

Some call us force-wielders.

"The jedi have never spoken of this." I said, perhaps the council was keeping another thing from me.

Mm. Few still know of our existence.

"In that room, my mother came to me, but it was not her. It was something else." I said, the memory of her dying in my arms played in my head, i shook my head, clearing the memory from my head.

Ah. My son, I suspect. We can take many forms. The shapes we embody are merely a reflection of the life force around us. You carry a great sadness in your heart. My children and I can manipulate the force like no other, therefore, it was necessary to withdraw from the temporal world and live here as anchorites. He told me.

"As a sanctuary?"

And a prison. This confussed me. You cannot imagine what pain it is to have such love for your children and realize that they could tear the very fabric of our universe.

"I don't understand."

It is only here that I can control them. A family in balance. The light and the dark. Day with night. Destruction replaced by creation.

"Then why reveal yourselves to us?" I asked, the force whispered something to me, but it was too quiet to hear.

There are some who would like to exploit our power. The sith are but one. Too much dark or light would be the undoing of life as you understand it. When news reached me that the chosen one had been found, I needed to see for myself.

"The chosen one is a myth."

Is it? I should very much like to know. Why don't we find out together? Pass one test, and I shall know the truth. Then you and your friends may leave. I was confused, but i agreed.

Ahsoka's POV:

"The longer we stay here, the stranger this place gets." I said, watching the planet fixing itself with the newly rising sun

"It appears the planet is renewing herself." Status Rex.

Suddenly, the daughter appearances before us.

I am awake that you all had Visions last night. She said. In order to protect balance, what you have seen, must be forgotten.

She placed her fingers on all of our foreheads, I could feel a slight tingling in my head, and my vision was forgotten. When I opened my eyes, i saw the daughter was gone.

"What about master Skywalker?" Padme asked. I could hear the concern in her voice.

"Anakin will not be easy to deceive." Obi-WAN replied.

I feel claws close around my shoulders and all of us were carried into the morning sky.

Anakin's POV:

It is time to face your guilt and know the truth.

I heard a roar and saw the clones, Padme, Ahsoka and obi-WAN being carried by two creatures.

"Whatever he wants, don't do it, master!" Ahsoka cried.

"Let them go. I will not play your games" I snarled.

Oh, but I think you will. I have ordered my children to kill your friends. The question is, which one will you choose to save: Your master or your apprentice? You must now release the guilt and free yourself by choosing.

"No!" I shouted.

The creatures flew into the air, carrying my friend with them. I sat down and meditated.

Anakin

The force is with you, use it

Let it guide you

Rise, Anakin

Rise

The voice of Master Qui-gon Jinn played in my head. I listened and felt the force flow through me. I shot into the air and chased after the creatures.

It is time to reveal your secret, Anakin

Qui-gon said.

I listened and obeyed. I am a shapeshifter, I was born human, but can shift into any creature. I shifted into a dragon.

I could sense the suprise from everyone, but I continued.

I didn't notice the sky shifting from day to night and back again.

Once I caught up to the creatures, I turned back into my human form and grabbed the creatures with the force, forcing them to flow me back to the monestary.

Once I landed, the creatures let go of my friends, before they could say anything, i placed two fingers to each of their forheads, altering the memory. My shapeshifting ability must be kept secret.

The father walked up to me and said;

And now you see who you truly are. Only the chosen one could tame both my children.

"I have taken your test. Now fulfill your promise and let us go." I said

Ah, but first you must understand the truth. Now all of you, leave us.

"Do not trust him." I heard multiple voices mutter.

"You think?" I muttered back.

I said leave us. He said, more forcefully this time. Do you feel your destiny? You must see it now. I am dying, and you must replace me.

"Replace you? I can't stay here." I replied disgusted.

But this is yours. It has been foretold. The chosen one will remain to keep my children in balance.

"No." I said forcefully

I, cannot force you to do this. The choice must be yours. But leave and your selfishness shall haunt you and the galaxy.

I turned and walked away, i walked up to Obi-WAN who smilled

"Ready to get out of here?" He asked

"Definately" i said, and borded the ship taking us home.
