"Are you sure you're ready to face the consequences?" tanong ni Tito.
"Anything, Tito. Just please, let me marry him easily. Gustong-gusto ko siya. I already planned it all. Kung sakaling magalit siya sa akin, I'll accept it." Huminga akong malalim bago muling nagsalita, "Magpapakasal na sila ni Yaci at kung hindi ko ito gagawin, baka tuluyang mawalan na ako ng pag-asa."
I can see that Tito is not satisfied with my reasons but I don't care anymore. He's one of a well-known lawyer, and he's the mayor so I'm sure he could get us married without a sweat.
"Wala akong magagawa kung hindi ang sumang-ayon. You spoiled brat," aniya sa pabirong tono. "I'll prepare the papers. You need to make sure he would sign it."
Lumawak ang ngiti ko bago tumango. "I'll make sure, Tito! Ako pa!"
Napailing na lang siya bago magpaalam umalis. Ako naman ay nanatiling nakaupo at nag-imagine ng kung ano-ano.
Paano kaya kung kasal na nga kami? Panigurado'y matututuhan niya rin akong mahalin. I'll be the best wife he could ever imagine. I'll give him kids. We'll be a happy family and he would forget about Yaci. I'm sure about that.
Kinabukasan ay agad namang nai-deliver sa condo ko ang mga papeles na mula mismo kay Tito. I texted my gratitude to him before reading what's written on the paper. May mga terms and conditions pa na naisama si Tito.
"He's the best!" bulong ko sa sarili bago isinilid ang mga papeles sa ilalim ng kama ko. "Acheron.. you'll be my husband soon.."
Napatingin ako sa repleksyon ko sa salamin at napangiti. I'll hope that everything would go along with my plans. Make him drunk and make him sign the papers.
Acheron.. just wait and we'll get married and you can't do anything but to love me. I'll be the first to have your surname and not that fucking Hyacinth.
