Centuries passed since the Archons were blessed with the presence of the 8th. When rumors spread that rituals were futile, they knew that their friend had perished.
A few years later, Razor finds himself crying on his knees, cradling Bennetts cold...

After Mona had left, Chi and [Y/n] were having a walk towards Starsnatch cliff to empty their stomachs while collecting lamp grasses along the way. The birds chirped, deafening the silence as the grass under them crunched after each footstep.
The archon side glanced at her companion, studying her expression before facing back front and crouching down to pick up another lamp grass, adding it to the roughly made bouquet in her other arm.
"Looking at your face..." the woman sighed, "You knew, didn't you?"
The Jueyun Chili paused in her step, looking at the woman in surprise. The spirit blinked dumbly before nodding and shrugging her shoulders.
"I knew for a while now actually, "Chi admitted, "But I didn't know how to tell you that Dvalin was injured," the spirit started, looking at the yellow berry bush beside her. She lifted her arms up to her head and made a weird face, deepening her voice, "I can't just go up to you and be like: M'lady! Your favorite dragon is sick and now under the control of an abyss ma-"
A sudden gust of high elemental energy caused Chi to stop in her tracks. The two looked at each other before readying their stance in case an enemy launched out at them. [Y/n] let go of the bouquet in her right hand and brought it over, hovering her left shoulder before swinging it out in full force, stopping near her right hip. That quick motion caused a celestial shield to appear. One around the archon, and one around her companion.

"W-What was that?" The Jueyun Chili squeaked holding the flowers close to her chest. The spirit shook as she felt the nerves travel through her spine.
To not be in battle in a long time really loosened Chi's combat skills, and to say she wasn't ready to find out how much of a slacker she had become was an understatement. The last time she had battled, she ended up with a serious injury, forcing her to rest for decades.
[Y/n] looked around, closely observing any changes to her surroundings. The leaves rustled wildly as her eyes focused on the direction they were pointing, "Looks like it's coming from over there," The archon pointed towards the direction where she had first woke up, opposite to where the leaves were being blown at, "Let's go check it out,"
The moment the archon said that was the moment her hand immediately grasped her chest. Her throat heaved as she coughed, a little splatter of blood making its way on her own celestial shield, the corner of her mouth stained with red.
