Coming Home

Steve's POV

I stepped off the plane and was met by Governor Jameson of Hawaii she tried to recruit me to run her task force I turned her down at first because I barely could afford the hour to bury my father and go home to my husband and children. My husband was a Detective with HPD and I missed him and our girls so. Grace and Alex are our girls. Grace was Danno's from a previous marriage gone bad and Alex was ours. She was born through a surrogate mother. Her name was Miranda. A lovely woman who was unfortunately killed shortly after Alex was born. Alex was a year younger than Gracie but we eventually won the custody of Gracie from Rachel who was holding Grace from Danno because he was a cop. I buried my father and went back to his house and as I was rummaging through the garage I heard someone coming and I drew my gun as I hear
"HPD hands where I can see them." I knew that voice from anywhere
"Danno." I smiled as he came into view
"Babe what the Hell?"
"Surprise."
"You can't be here. This is my crime scene. You know that."
"He's really gone Danno." I said my voice breaking. Even though I am a SEAL I knew I could break down in front of my husband and girls and they would understand.
"Oh Babe." He said as he drew me into a hug. "Why don't we get out of here and go home to the girls. You need them both right now." I shook my head
"Governor Jameson offered me a job that I am considering. It would put me at home with you and the girls and I can transfer to the reserves."
"Take the job."
"Only if you agree to be my partner."
"I wouldn't trust anyone else to have your back." I pulled out my phone and dialed the Governors number
"Governor I will take the job." I pulled Danno in for a kiss and we went home to our girls and I knew our Ohana was going to get even bigger I just didn't know how much bigger it would get.
