Field Trip (Part 1)

Alex's POV

*****Williams-McGarrett House*****
I woke up and stretched. Today was the day that we were going to be going on our field trip to the history/War museum and I was excited. I smelled pancakes cooking and I loved pancakes even if I couldn't have the good syrup. Danno made the best pancakes. I got up and got into the shower and dressed in a dress for the day and walked downstairs and into the kitchen
"Morning baby girl." Was the response I got from Dad as Danno was cooking. No matter how old I get I will always be baby girl to them like Grace is Monkey to them. "Morning Monkey, Morning Charlie."
"Morning Daddy" Grace said
" 'orning 'Addy." Charlie said
"Morning Daddy and Danno."
"Are you excited about your field trip?" Danno asked
"I am. May I have the good stuff with my pancakes this morning please?"
"Go check your sugar and let us see what it is and we will go from there." Danno said. I ended up not being able to get the good stuff that morning as my sugar was a little high, but as we loaded into the truck on the way to school I was feeling anxious and excited all at once. Grace went to her first class of the day and I walked towards the bus thinking of my field trip today not realizing in a few short hours something bad was going to happen.

Once all of the kids were off the bus and inside Mrs. Thompson their teacher spoke
"Alright class I am going to divide you up into groups The first group is Connor, Gigi, Astrid, Alyssa, Matt and Nahele. The second group is Alexa, Kona, Jeff, Duke, George and Shannon and the third group is Okalani, Leland, Duane, Alex and Katie. The third is smaller because Sasha isn't here today. We are doing a scavenger hunt. You have two hours." She let them go and then waited for the groups to be done.

********1 hour later****
Alex's POV
I was with my group that had Okalani in it. She was my other best friend besides Grace. I started to feel a little dizzy, but with the teachers permission I took out my phone and texted Danno

Made it Danno. I didn't have to wait long for a reply
That's great baby girl. Have fun and remember Danno loves you.
I love you too Danno.

I went back to working on our project and I was so focused that I didn't even see the 3 men that walked in until I heard the gunshot
