Hello! I am back so soon! I felt a little bad leaving y'all for so long, and I've had some motivation so here I am! This is a little angsty. Pretty much all of the stuff in this is from personal experience. So, yeah, this is kind of a vent fic?

Natsu swallowed, his gaze trapped on his lap. It had been for quite some time. He was glad Happy wasn't with him, instead, the tiny blue cat had spent the night with Lisanna -at her insistence-.

"I wanna spend time with him too!" The small girl complained. Even though just a week ago she had pushed Happy onto Natsu singing a different tune /"You need to spend time with him!"/

Natsu sighed, placing his head on the table. It had been an hour since Natsu had woken up, and he still couldn't find anything for breakfast. Not for lack of having anything. He had the stuff to make eggs and bacon, he could have cereal or even pancakes.

He just didn't feel like eating any of those things. Scratch that, he didn't feel like eating in general. He was half-contemplating just going back to lying down.

After many minutes of encouraging himself, he finally found the strength to push himself up. It took him longer than it should have to make his way over to his hammock. Slowly dragging his feet, occasionally stopping to stare off at something in the distance, before reminding himself to keep moving.

It didn't take long for him to drift off once more, despite having just woken up. Why was he so tired? He idly pondered before slipping off.

The next time he woke up, it was to a loud knocking on the door. Sitting up while rubbing his eyes, Natsu glanced to the window, it was getting dark. How long had he been asleep?

Sniffing, he quickly identified who was at the door, he would have yelled something in response to the banging on the door, but he couldn't find it in him.

Trudging to the door, he slowly -tiredly- opened it. Blinking at the boy in front of him.

"Sheesh, about time you answered me." Crossing his arms, the ice mage brushed past Natsu and entered his home, which was surprisingly spotless. "Oh, did you finally decide to clean up? I didn't know you had it in you, flame-brain!" Gray teased, hoping to strike a fight or to get a rise out of the pinkette.

-Anything to get the dull look off of his pinkette's face-

Natsu just shrugged, moving to sit on the couch. He felt awful. Last night he had entered a cleaning frenzy, picking up all of the trash, cleaning out the fridge -which had been done not too long ago- disinfecting everything, and organizing everything. He even did his laundry, well, he folded and put it away.

"You didn't come to the guild today," Gray stated bluntly, revealing why he had come to pay Natsu a surprise visit. "Why not?"

Once again, Natsu shrugged and shook his head. Bringing his legs up to his chest, staying quiet. His throat felt tight. It was like someone had tied a rope around it. Preventing him from making a single sound.

Gray scowled, "Are you going to say anything, or are you just going to sit there shrugging?"

Natsu stared down at his lap, tears were welling up in his eyes. He knew Gray couldn't see, and he'd like it to remain that way.

"Really, nothing? I don't remember you being this pathetic."

Gray's words rang in his ears, long after he eventually stormed out. Irritated that nothing he had said earned a reaction from the pinkette.

Natsu buried his face in his hands, silently sobbing into them. He wanted to disappear. He really was pathetic.
