Hello! After some time I am back! So, first of all, I have a lot of works in progress, as well as ideas that have yet to become works in progress, and I am so excited to finally start working on them.
Special thanks to Animeweebpersonslife for harassing me about this every time I said I was going to write and for reading this over and pointing out any major errors.
Erza was having a great day, she got an A on her biology test, she packed two strawberry cakes, and only had to break up two of Gray and Natsu's fights.
One at the beginning of the day, just before the first class, and once in the gym. Typically she had to break one up during lunch, a frown settled on her face as she tried to recall why there was no fight at lunch.
Opening up her car door she settled into the driver's seat, pulling her bag into her lap as she looked through the bag to find her keys. Upon looking at one of her textbooks she remembered she had to get a book from one of her teachers for an extra credit assignment.
She stepped out of her car with a sigh and began the trek towards Mr. Black's class, furrowing her brows, she remembered her earlier train of thought.
The reason why there was no fight at lunch was that Natsu wasn't there. He had mentioned something about visiting a teacher about grade recovery assignments.
Erza smiled, grateful and happy that Natsu was taking his grades more seriously. Walking down the hall, she slowly approached Mr. Black's door.
Just as she was about to push the door open she heard a familiar laugh. Erza froze and waited, why was Natsu still here? Creeping closer she tried to listen in to their conversation, something she would never admit to of course.
"Are you going to drive me home, or am I going to have to walk home?"
She heard Mr. Black sigh a response, "Natsu, if you even try to walk home, I'll beat your ass."
Erza's eyebrows shot up and her eyes widen, she had never heard her teacher curse. My. Black was one of the few teachers that didn't curse. Of course, there were a few close calls, but he also managed to catch himself.
Another thought that was spinning around her mind was, why did it even matter to the teacher if Natsu walked home? Many students in his class walk home, and she knew for a fact the teacher was aware of this.
"Can't you do that at home?" Erza pursed her lips, and her eyebrows furrowed, she had never heard the pinkette use a whiney tone. She found it odd that he would use that tone with a teacher.
"Home is full of distractions." She heard him answer, only to have Natsu challenge him not a second later.
Scoffing, Natsu challenged the other. "Name one."
"You." Mr. Black answered without hesitating.
She heard her friend squawk.
Meanwhile, Erza's head was spinning, as she tried her best to compose herself. Why did Mr. Black consider Natsu a distraction at home? Why were they speaking so casually to each other?
Hearing the shuffling of papers, and the sound of someone getting up, Erza bolted back to her car; the textbook could wait.
Sitting in her car, slightly panting from racing down the halls, she began the drive home. Her mind continued to wander and drift back to the two of them, specifically Natsu until she went to bed that night.
Natsu had been acting weird ever since Mr. Black had transferred. Although the two had only known each other for a little over a year, Erza was proud to say she knew her friend well.
