I slammed the file onto the table and leaned back in my chair, my shoulders sinking as exhaustion washed over me like a heavy tide. But it wasn't just tiredness weighing me down.
It was desperation. Guilt.
A quiet ache that had been sitting in my chest for an entire week.
A whole week since I had heard her voice.
Damn it. We live under the same roof, yet I barely even see her.
"I swear this is too much. A whole week of ignoring me?" I groaned, rubbing my forehead in frustration.
" You should have thought that before yelling at her. " Arjun muttered lazily, munching on his French fries.
His words hit harder than I expected.
Because he wasn't wrong. She's ignoring me like I don't even exist.
And honestly, I deserve it.
I sank deeper into my chair, staring blankly at the ceiling.
The very next day Arjun had told me the truth - Naira had only entered my room to keep an important file. She wasn't sneaking around. She hadn't meant to invade my space.
And I had exploded at her for nothing.
I still remember that moment clearly. The way she froze when I raised my voice. Those beautiful eyes of hers... Slowly filling with tears.
A sharp pang hit my chest.
God... I'm such an idiot.
"That you are!" Arjun said immediately. I raised my brows at him.
"An absolute idiot," he finished with a grin
Without warning, I grabbed a cushion and threw it straight at him. "Either help me fix this or get out of my cabin."
"No free service, buddy," he replied casually.
I rolled my eyes. "Fine. How about exclusive weekend party tickets?"
He smirked. "Now we're talking." Without hesitation, I tossed my BMW keys to him. "You have them. Now Talk."
"Simple," he said. "Apologize."
"That's easy." I shrugged and pulled out my phone, already typing.
