The next day we made our way to the iconic Chapel Bridge, a covered wooden bridge stretching diagonally across the River Reuss. Inside, triangular panels displayed centuries-old paintings dating back to the 17th century—each one telling fragments of history as we passed beneath them.
Soon, we found ourselves wandering through Lucerne Old Town. Medieval walls, watchtowers, narrow streets, and the soft shimmer of Lake Lucerne made it feel like we had stepped into a different era. We had lunch, and then spent hours just walking—talking, laughing, and taking pictures. Thank God for comfortable shoes, because those uneven streets were no joke.
