The next day we made our way to the iconic Chapel Bridge, a covered wooden bridge stretching diagonally across the River Reuss. Inside, triangular panels displayed centuries-old paintings dating back to the 17th century—each one telling fragments of history as we passed beneath them.

Soon, we found ourselves wandering through Lucerne Old Town. Medieval walls, watchtowers, narrow streets, and the soft shimmer of Lake Lucerne made it feel like we had stepped into a different era. We had lunch, and then spent hours just walking—talking, laughing, and taking pictures. Thank God for comfortable shoes, because those uneven streets were no joke.

Lucerne Old Town was a dream for any traveler—every corner offered a postcard-worthy view

"Kartik?" I called, turning around.

No response.

Frowning, I scanned the crowd. He was nowhere to be seen. I reached into my pocket for my phone, ready to call him—

“I’m here!”

I turned sharply.

“Where did you go leaving—” I stopped mid-sentence, my eyes widening.
