His voice droned on through yet another business call.
I rolled my eyes dramatically and sank deeper into the couch, flipping mindlessly through endless shows in search of something-anything-to cure my boredom.
People weren't kidding when they said marriage tangled two lives together.
Because somehow, my life had become just as painfully work-obsessed as his.
Seriously, who even works on a Sunday?
I mean, hello? Your wife is sitting right in front of you. A very beautiful wife, might I add. And yet Mr. Oberoi couldn't spare me a glance.
If Rudy had been around, I could've at least dragged him to the basketball court. But no-he was out of state for a tournament and wouldn't be back for another month.

With an annoyed huff, I grabbed a couch pillow and hurled it at him before storming toward our room.
"Well," I muttered dramatically, flopping onto the bed, "looks like it's just you and me tonight, Stefan."

Beside it lay a neatly folded outfit on the dressing table-a cream turtleneck sweater, black skinny jeans, and a long camel coat that looked soft enough to drown in.
