"Yeah, sure, I got it. And what about the contract with Roopar's? I need the details on my table by tomorrow. Also, the slum reconstruction project-"

His voice droned on through yet another business call.

I rolled my eyes dramatically and sank deeper into the couch, flipping mindlessly through endless shows in search of something-anything-to cure my boredom.

People weren't kidding when they said marriage tangled two lives together.

Because somehow, my life had become just as painfully work-obsessed as his.

Seriously, who even works on a Sunday?

I mean, hello? Your wife is sitting right in front of you. A very beautiful wife, might I add. And yet Mr. Oberoi couldn't spare me a glance.

If Rudy had been around, I could've at least dragged him to the basketball court. But no-he was out of state for a tournament and wouldn't be back for another month.

Arjun and Aditi were out on a movie date.

Dhruv was meeting Siya's parents for dinner tonight. Poor guy was terrified, though I knew he'd somehow charm his way through it.

And me?

I had spent the entire day doing absolutely nothing.

Never in my life had a weekend felt this boring.

And it was entirely his fault.

I shot another glare toward Kartik while Dory gave me a sympathetic look from the kitchen. Even she understood my suffering.

But my dear husband?

Hopeless.

With an annoyed huff, I grabbed a couch pillow and hurled it at him before storming toward our room.

"Well," I muttered dramatically, flopping onto the bed, "looks like it's just you and me tonight, Stefan."

Time for another rewatch of The Vampire Diaries.

But just as I reached for the remote, something caught my eye.

A sticky note was attached to the mirror.

Beside it lay a neatly folded outfit on the dressing table-a cream turtleneck sweater, black skinny jeans, and a long camel coat that looked soft enough to drown in.

I frowned curiously before pulling the note free.

It's winter, so don't skip the shrug. Your boyfriend is waiting. Don't take too long :)

A smile instantly tugged at my lips.

My mind drifted back to a conversation from three nights ago.
