Chapter 18

Nashi looked at Reiki then Sebastian. They both didn't seem like the type to have a problem with anyone. Somehow they did though. "Okay," Nashi said with a bright smile to try and lighten the mood, "You two obviously don't get along, so how about-"

Reiki charged at Sebastian as he created multiples of himself and Sebastian used his takeover magic to turn parts of his body into a cat. Nashi quickly got out of their way and stood next to Luke.

"Playing this stupid trick again?" Sebastian asked as he started swiping at all the Reiki's.

"Yeah? Well you caught me in a very bad mood," said Reiki as the original him strikes a punch to Sebastian's face.

Sebastian took this opportunity to scratch Reiki in the face which caused him to bleed on his upper right cheek

"Ugh!" Reiki lifted his right hand to his face. He looked at his hand to see that he's bleeding and made his clones disappear.

"What should we do?" Nashi asked Luke.

"Stay right here, I'm going to get someone," said Luke and he ran inside.

Reiki then used his magic to make rocks come up from the ground. It hit Sebastian and he flew into the air and landed on his back. "Thought cats always landed on their feet?" Reiki said.

Sebastian quickly got back on his feet. Reiki then engulfed him in complete darkness.

"Reiki! Stop this nonsense right now!" Mirajane yelled. The darkness quickly disappeared as he turned to the mage standing at the door. "Go up to the guest room and your parents can deal with you once they get back."

"Yes ma'am," said Reiki and he walked inside.

"And you mister," Lisanna said looking over to Sebastian, "don't think you're off the hook. Get inside."

Sebastian went inside and Nashi looked over to Lisanna and Mirajane, "I'm so sorry, I tried to stop them."

"It's fine," Mirajane said with a sigh. "I should have warned everyone that they don't get along."

"Reiki was really going at it though, is he okay?" Lisanna asked.

"He was fine earlier," Mirajane told her. "I'm going to patch his face up." The two girls went inside as Luke walked out.

"I'm glad that's all cleared up," Nashi said with a sigh of relief.

"Yeah..." Luke said as he looked down.

"Is everything okay?" Nashi asked.

"It's been a long day," said Luke, now looking at her.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear..." said Nashi. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I'm good. Just focus on you," the boy told his sister.

"Okay, don't let the stress pile up though."

"I won't." Luke thought he and Reiki were close or at least becoming close, but he wasn't so sure now. Besides, how can two people become good friends in a span of a few days? "What's up with you though? Where's Sylvia?"

Nashi let out a deep breathe, "Well..." She scratched the back of her neck. "I like Reiki."

"I know that by now," Luke chuckled.

"Shush, I'm not finished," Nashi said as she elbowed him.

Luke laughed, "Okay, okay. You can finish."

"As I was saying, I like Reiki and I got really jealous because Nova and him are dating," Nashi explained.

Luke looked away, knowing the truth. He felt bad about not telling her, but knew it was important to not say a word.

"I got jealous and when Nova invited us to hang out in her room, I refused. I thought of her as an enemy instead of an ally like she's supposed to be. Sylvia decided to hang out with her though and I got really jealous. I thought Sylvia was supposed to be my friend and nobody else's," Nashi admitted.

"I see," said Luke. "I mean she was the only girl, besides Rosemary who is way younger."

"Yeah..."

"But she can make her own friends. Sylvia can't be only your friend," Luke explained.

"I know," Nashi mumbled.

"Then about Nova, try to get along. You can't make everyone your enemy otherwise you'll have no allies. I believe in you."

"Thanks."

It was a little bit later and everyone was back and eating dinner besides Reiki and his parents. He was sitting on the bed and his parents were standing in front of him. They had just gotten back from buying groceries for the next day or so, and now they were scolding their son. "What were you thinking!?" Erza yelled.

Reiki just looked at the floor. He had zoned out from the lecture and he couldn't stop thinking about what happened earlier that day. Suddenly there was a loud bang coming from the bedside table. Reiki quickly looked up to see his mother who had a angry expression on her face.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"

"Yes ma'am."

"Erza, I think you might be taking it a bit to far. I think he understands," said Jellal.

"Understands? He went too far! If Mirajane didn't stop him who knows what would've happened to Sebastian," Erza said as she started lowering her voice, but still frustrated and worried.

They were all worried about Sebastian. What about him? He was hurting. Obviously he went to far, but can't they ask him why? "I understand mom, it won't happen again," Reiki spoke.

"See, he gets it," Jellal stated.

"If that happens again, you'll be going home with me," Erza warned.

"Yes ma'am." He looked at his parents and wanted to tell them what happened. That Nova broke up with him and now his heart's in pieces, but he already broke his promise. Reiki knew he couldn't do it again. "Can I stay in here for the night?"

Erza was a little shocked, but agreed. "Yes, you can."

"Thanks."

"If anything's wrong, you can always come to us," Jellal commented, wondering if something was off.

"Yeah, thanks."
