"I know where your kids are."

"What!? Where?" Lucy asked frantically. "How do you know?"

Mirajane looked to the living room and saw Reiki and Rosemary talking amongst themselves about their newly painted nails. She thought about their friends they had recently made and remembered Erza's words.

"Please don't take this away from them... don't take this away from us."

She let out a long sigh, "I saw them heading toward Erza's, but she's not home. She's out on vacation with her husband and kids. They'll have a hard time getting to her..."

"Really!? I'm going to call Princess Hisui right away. Thank you so much!" Lucy thanked.

"Yeah, no problem. I hope you find them," Mirajane said without faltering. With that she hung up the phone, quickly making some more phone calls.

🔥🔥🔥

"Reiki?"

"Yeah, Rose?"

"Will you and Nova make up?" she questioned.

"I'm not sure," Reiki answered.

They were both laying on Reiki's temporary "bed". It was just a bunch of blankets that made the floor just a teensy bit comfier. The red haired boy stared at the ceiling. "I hope so..." he whispered.

"What was that?" Rosemary asked.

"I said that it's enough talk about me, what about you? Have you made any friends?" Reiki probed.

"Not really. Sometimes Rin talks to me, but that's only when Sylvia isn't there," Rosemary groaned. "Everyone is so much older than me! Why can't I be older?"

Reiki chuckled, "You don't want to grow up too fast."

"Yes I do, Reiki!" Rosemary complained. "Everyone just forgets about me because I'm so small."

"Hm... well you know... Luke told me something a while back..." Reiki glanced at his sister to see her reaction.

"What?" she grumbled.

"He told me that Wendy and Romeo had a child. His name is Sora," Reiki told her.

"What about it?"

"He's about your age," Reiki smiled.

"Another kid my age!?" She squealed.

"Yep! And guess what?"

"What!?" she inquired excitedly.

"We're going to see them after this."

"Yes! Finally!" I'm so excited!" Rosemary ran out of the room and ran down the stairs to tell whoever she could find the good news.

Reiki could only smile at the fact that his little sister was happy. He got up from his spot to follow her, but quickly cowered as he saw Nova enter the room. "W-what is it?" he stammered.

"What did you tell her?" Nova demanded.

"I said nothing to her," he muttered.

"Then what was that downstairs!?" Nova shouted.

She was referring to when Rosemary said that she wanted to go with Reiki. Normally when she gets her nails done, she goes with Nova. This time she wanted to go with her brother to cheer him up. Rosemary had made a random guess that they broke up, so it was really nothing he said. Reiki didn't know why it was a big deal, but he wouldn't dare ask. Nova was... difficult to deal with when angry. More often than not, it happened when she was super paranoid which is probably how she feels about anyone finding out.

"I don't know," Reiki kept his voice real quiet. His head started to feel like it was spinning. Breathing felt difficult. Although on the outside, he looked fine.

"Does she know? Did you tell her!?" Nova crossed her arms, waiting for an answer.

"N-no," Reiki stuttered. "She doesn't know anything." He felt awful about lying, but it was for both his and Rose's safety. If Nova started to shun his little sister too, he felt he would truly be a terrible brother.

"Then why don't I ask her myself!?" the blonde yelled.

"Nova, just leave her out of this. She's ten! Rose hasn't done anything wrong," Reiki said, trying to reason with his former girlfriend.

Still infuriated, but also defeated Nova let it go. "Fine! I won't be so nice next time though."

With that, she left. Reiki let out a sigh of relief as he felt his body start to shake and tears start to fall. He wished things weren't like this, and felt like he somehow did something wrong. If only he could fix it.

He truly loved her, and thought that they would be forever. She was girl he had always imagined to be his wife.

Now it was all gone.

🔥🔥🔥

Later, Mirajane was downstairs, cooking up dinner for everyone. She felt a bit guilty for nearly telling her old guildmate the location of her children. Even though things hadn't worked out in earlier years, it didn't mean they couldn't work out with the new generation. Nashi is about as hot headed as her father and Luke was just as stubborn as his mother. Then Storm was ice cold like his father, while the twins were kind like their mother. And Gale... he can certainly be cocky like his father, but can be very gentle like his mother. Her dear old friends children deserved the same chance as their parents.

Just as the mother finished setting the table, she saw Reiki come down the stairs. "Hey, are you hungry? Dinner is almost ready!" she told him.

"Yeah, I'm starving," he replied.

"Good! Come sit down." Mirajane placed down the food at the table, everything nearly ready. "I wanted to ask... I heard some yelling up the stairs. Everything okay?"

Reiki looked away and avoided eye contact, "Yep. Just... another one of Nova's outbursts." The boy chuckled. "You know how she can get."

"Yeah, well if you ever need to talk about anything I'm here, you know," Mira reassured him.

"Yeah, of course. If anything were wrong, you and my mom would be the first people I'd go to," he said with a small smile.

"Alright."

With that she called everyone to dinner and they all ate up. On the other side of this story though...

Some were making way to the Sabertooth guild just earlier that very same day.
