Chapter 20

While everything was going on, two of the teens had gotten quite close to each other. They had decided to walk around the town with each other and although neither one of them wanted to admit it, it felt more like a date.

It was silent between them. Only the sound of their feet on the ground could be heard when Gale suddenly stopped.

Sylvia taking notice stopped too. "What's wrong?" she asked him.

"Just thinking," he whispered.

"About what?" she questioned worriedly. It was as if silence engulfed them and Sylvia was growing nervous by the second. She started to grab his hand.

"About how hungry I am! look at that restaurant over there, it looks so good," Gale exclaimed.

Sylvia quickly took her hand back as she watched him run towards a restaurant.

"Come on!"

Sylvia looked at him and back at her hand, "That was weird," she muttered. She ran towards Gale and followed him inside.

They both say in a booth on opposite sides of each other. Sylvia didn't really know what to say after that strange moment, so she was quiet.

"I hope they have good food here, it smells good. Anyway, anything new with you?" Gale wondered.

"Uh, nothing much... oh wait! Lately Nashi has been acting weird."

"Weird?"

"Yeah, you know how she likes Reiki?"

Gale nodded.

"Well Reiki is dating Nova, so she is now acting like a complete bitch toward her."

"Well, she's also a bitch towards Storm. I think it's just her personality," Gale pointed out.

"Hey! That's not true, she's a very nice person. Maybe if you actually got to know her than you would know that," Sylvia crosses her arms, very displeased. "She just gets jealous easily and can get very hot tempered."

"Sorry," Gale said feeling ashamed.

Sylvia sighed, "I know she's just acting that way because she's jealous and I understand, but Nova and Reiki are dating. I just wish I could do something to help her."

"Yeah, but speaking of Reiki, I think him and Luke had a fight."

"What?"

"Yeah, something has been going on with Reiki and Luke I believe was trying to help him. Something has now happened and I don't think they're on speaking terms."

"That's so strange. They seemed to be getting close," Sylvia thought aloud. "He also got into that fight with Sebastian..."

"Yeah, he really got into it."

"Then didn't even say goodbye to us..." Sylvia was trying to piece together a puzzle and came to a conclusion. "Do you think he and Nova...?"

"What!? Of course not. You should see the way he talks about her," Gale denied. "It has to be something else."

"I guess," Sylvi shrugged.

Luke, on the other hand, was trying to go on with his day, and just his life in general. He thought it would be best for everyone to forget about his friendship with Reiki. That way nothing's awkward for anyone and nothing's awkward for them. Luke grabbed everyone's laundry and loaded it up in the wash.

"Luke!" Nashi shouted as she ran into the room. "I need your help."

"With what?" he asked.

"Going to Sabertooth! It's nearby and I want to visit all of mom and dads old friends!" Nashi exclaimed.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? We just got here," Luke questioned.

"Of course! We may meet some new friends!"

"Fine, but you need to be careful."

"I will! I will."

"Good," Luke smiled as he rubbed his hand against his sisters head.

"Reiki! Reiki!" Rosemary shouted. It was loud enough for everyone at the nail salon to hear.

"What?" he chuckled as he walked over to her.

"Should I do pink or orange?" the young girl held up the two colors.

"Hm... I'm not sure. How about both?" Reiki suggested.

"No! Only one," Rosemary demanded.

"Aww, but I can't choose because they're both so pretty," Reiki teased.

"Fine, I'll take orange and you take pink," she smirked as she handed him the color.

"Alright," he took the color and the two of them got their nails done.

Erza finally had some alone time with Mirajane and was finally able to tell her the situation. "So about why we're here..." she started.

"Mhm..."

"We're trying to get Fairy Tail back together," Erza stated.

Mirajane choked on her drink, "...you what?"

"I know it's a lot, but don't you think it's time?" Erza questioned.

"You remember what happened last time, we can't," Mirajane protested.

"But we can. Who's to say it will happen again? It was a long time ago and the children really want this. Don't you see how hard they are working to make this happen?" Erza paused. She looked at Mirajane's face, trying to read her, but like always, she failed. Erza let out a deep breath, "They came all this way, Mira. Some even left home just to make this happen. Please don't take this away from them... don't take this away from us."

"No, we can't. This is wrong."

"At least consider it!" Erza pleaded.

Mirajane looked at her and took a deep breath. "Fine."

"Thank you so much," Erza gave Mirajane a huge hug.

"Yeah, of course," she replied with a soft smile.

"Perfect! Look how pretty my nails are!" Rosemary said, showing them off to her brother.

"Wow, they are so pretty! I bet you mine are prettier though," Reiki challenged.

"What!? Show me!" Reiki showed her his nails and she gasped. "Pretty..."

"See, I told you."

"Hey! I never said they were prettier. Mine beats yours," Rosemary crossed her arms.

"Fine , fine."

They made it back to the house and went inside, looking at their nails. Nova who was left behind, took notice.

"Rose, I thought we were gonna get our nails done together," Nova said to the girl.

"Yeah, but I wanted Reiki to come instead," Rosemary said.

"He's a boy though, wouldn't you rather get them done with a girl, like me?"

"Nope," Rosemary said with a huge smile on her face.

Nova's face heated up and was very upset by this. "Okay, I'm going up to my room now, feel free to join." She left the room in a quick pace. Nova started to wonder just how many people he has told.

Mirajane grabbed her phone and dialed in a number she had been saving. She listened to it ring until someone finally picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, is this Lucy?"

"Yes, Lucy Dragneel speaking. Who is this?"

"I know where your kids are."
