*NICOLE'S POV*

"What a perfect day." I commented to Luke as he drove.

"Not any more." He said, looking into the mirror. I looked back and saw two black vans following us. I took out the map that I had bought and found where we were.

"Man, I need to lose these vans." Luke said.

"Okay. Take your next left." I told him.

"You're sure?" He asked unsure about the whole situation.

"Yes." I said. I'm pretty sure... He turned at the next left and I looked back to see the vans passing where we are. He kept driving on the road

"Okay, if you take your next left, the road loops back to the highway." I told him. He did as told but the road didn't lead back to the highway. "Or maybe not."

"This isn't even a road any more. This is a firebreak, it has to be." Luke said.

"Just... Just keep driving." I told him, and he did.

"That last sign said 'Deer crossing.' There are no deer!" Luke complained.

"You know, you complain more than my sister." I told him.

"Are we on the right road or not?" He asked.

"Not?" I said unsure.

"Show it to me." Luke said frustrated.

"No! Keep your eyes on the road. I'm the navigator." I said.

"Oh, is that what you call it?" He commented.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked.

"It means you're such a know-it-all." He said.

"A what?" I asked offended.

"A know-it-all!God, you are the queen of snap judgements. 'Turn here! This is the right road! I'm sure of it!'" He mocked.

"I was sure of it!" I yelled at him.

"You're sure. You're so sure of things you couldn't possibly be sure about." He said.

"I am not." I defended.

"And you're defensive." He said. I looked out the window to see that we're not moving.

"Move the car! We're not moving." I told him. He pushed on the gas pedal and the car wouldn't move. Great. Then it started sinking and I screamed.

"We'll have to get out and push." Luke said, getting out of the window as I did the same. "Wait, wait, wait. Look, I'll help you." He said once we was on top of the car.

"Don't touch me." I told him, getting up myself.

"Why are you so mad?" He asked. Is he THAT stupid?

"Oh, I don't know. This!" I yelled.

"Look, turning onto this road was not my idea." He said.

"You're blaming me?" I said. Seriously?!

"Yeah, you're a terrible navigator!" He yelled.

"You're a terrible driver!" I yelled back.

"Hey, I'm a great driver." He defended.

"Right." I said sarcastically.

"Nicole, we're gonna have to jump." He told me. No.

"I'm not jumping." I refused.

"You got a better idea?" He asked.

"Use the branch as a bridge." I said pointing to the branch.
