*LUKE'S POV*

"If you're the one for me
Like gravity, I'll be unstoppable
I, yeah, I believe in destiny
I may be an ordinary guy
with heart and soul
But if you're the one for me
Then I'll be your hero
Could you be the one
Could you be the one
Could you be the one for me?
Then I'll be your hero
Could you be the one
Could you be the one for me?
Then I'll be your hero"  I sang into the mic.

"That was great, Luke. Take five." John, the record producer, said.

"Thanks, guys. That was great. Let's take a break." I said to Michael, Calum and Ashton. I walked over to my laptop and put on the slideshow I made

"Yo. You okay?" Ashton said, walking up behind me.

"Yeah. Yeah, I just can't get her out of my mind." I admitted to him.

"Yeah, me neither. She cacked all over my shoes." He said and we both laughed.

"I mean, she's real, you know? She's annoyingly honest, she's smart, she's cool, she's funny, she's beautiful." I told him, admiring the pictures on my laptop. A cough came over the speakers, causing both of us to look at the mic. Rebekah was standing there.

"Hello, boys. Talking about me?" She said, walking in the room.

"Dude." Ashton patted my shoulder, walking out.

"Look, Rebekah, I can explain..." I said.

"I don't want to know who she is. Is she an actress? Is she more famous than me?" She asked.

"No. No, she's not an actress. She's not famous at all." I told her. Her phone started ringing and she took it out of her bag.

"Then I really don't understand why you would pick her." She said, looking at her phone.

"I didn't pick her. It just kind of happened." I said honestly.

"Silly. That kind of stuff only happens in the movies. This is the real world." She said. "Oh. I have a date with Harry. I have to go." She smiled.

"Whoa. Are you breaking up with me?" I asked.

"Uh-huh." She smiled.

"Okay." I said confused. She fake pouted.

"Friends?" She asked.

"Sure..." I said and that was that, she left. As soon as she was out of the building Ashton held up a sign that said 'Mate, you're FREE!' And I smiled.

*NICOLE'S POV*

"Bye, Grandma. I love you." Dakota said from where she was putting her bag in the car.

"Goodbye, Dakota. I love you more." She told her.

"And how about you, Jess? Are you gonna be all right?" She asked, placing her hands on my shoulders. I looked at the grund. "Sweetheart. I know it hurts right now, but things are not always what they seem in the moment. Given some time, life has a way of working itself out for the better."

"Really, Grandma?" I asked.

"Yup. I mean, look at me. I've been trying to get rid of that ugly old car since your grandpa died." She joked. "Oh, honey."

"I love you, Grandma." I said hugging her.

"I love you, sweetheart." Se told me.

*LUKES POV*

"Nicole Harwood. Such a nice name for a nice girl." Peter Matthews said. He also held up a picture of Nicole.

"Where'd you get that?" I asked panicked.

"Where do you think I got it, Luke? Libby Lam has had a whole fleet of photographers on you for the past two days." He said.

"I  know, but I was so careful." I explained.

"Now, this is exactly the kind of thing I was afraid of with you, kid. I mean, you're obviously not serious about doing this movie. I don't know, maybe you're just too young." He said and my eyes widened.

"No, sir. Look, I made a mistake." I pleaded.

"Come on, Peter. Give us a chance to fix this." Mom said. And he groaned.

"All right, all right. Make the story go away." Matthews said.

"How do we do that?" Dad asked.

You call Libby Lam. You offer her an exclusive. You say you don't know this girl. You say she's just some fan who was following you around all day." He told me.

"You want me to lie?" I asked. Unbelievable.

"Luke! This is the tabloid press, dude. This is not the Supreme Court. Say whatever you have to say, because I promise you, either this girl goes away or the movie does. Okay?" He said and I nodded sheepishly.

And the next day, I was sitting in a studio with Libby Lam having an interview done.

"So we're talking about this girl, Nicole Harwood." She said, pointing to a screen with Nicole's picture on it. Here goes nothing. I gulped before answering:

"Yeah, she looks kind of familiar." I lied. I hate this, so so much.

"Come on, Luke. We know you were at the beach with her." She pushed. I'm going to punch this woman.

"Look, lots of fans come to Malibu to watch me surf, and I try to say hi to everybody that comes up to me, but... Maybe I signed an autograph for her or something."  I said.

"According to our sources, she came all the way from Mississippi, just to see you." Libby said.

"Wow, really? I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to meet her." I said. Little did I know that she was actually watching.

*NICOLE'S  POV*

"You have to talk to us, Nic. What happened out there in California?" My mom asked me as we sat in the kitchen.

"Nothing bad, I promise. I can't talk about it. Please, please, just trust me." I said. Then Dakota screamed.

"Luke Hemmings  is talking about you on Starstruck!" She yelled and we all moved into the living room.

"So you're saying that you don't know this girl." Libby asked him.

"Yeah. I mean, I don't know what she's saying about me, but I don't know anybody named Nicole Harwood. Sorry, Libby, there's nothing more to tell." He smiled at the camera. Typical.

"Okay. You heard it here first. I'm Libby Lam. This is Starstruck News." Libby smiled and the interview was done. My whole family looked at me. I ran up to my room and they didn't follow me.
