L's POV:
My head shot up as I heard faint footsteps coming toward me, it was only y/n. I saw that she changed out of her tea stained dress shirt. I once again wondered why she was so distracted earlier that it made her spill tea all over herself? Y/n hardly ever did anything like that, she's always so careful and cautious.
Flashback:
L always came downstairs to eat breakfast with y/n by six o'clock sharp, that was how the two of them started their day. Both of them never missed breakfast.
L sat up with his back against two fluffy pillows while his forehead burned red, his nose was stuffy, and his whole body switched between freezing, and burning hot. There was a small rectangular table sat next to L's bed with a plate of eggs, sausage, and toast sitting nicely on top of the long table. L had only took about three bites out of his toast because of his lack of an apatite at the moment.
A small muffled knock came from the other side of L's door, and he lifted his head up at the sound. "Come in," he said groggily.
The person on the other side of the door twisted the door knob, and pushed it slowly opening it about three quarters of the way. Now standing in the door way was y/n. At first her expression was angered but she quickly lifted the anger off her s/c face when she looked down at her friend who was clearly not doing well.
"Are you okay?" she asked in shock. In all their years of being friends, y/n had never seen L in such a condition, let alone sitting down in a normal position, on his bed. It sure was a sight.
Is he sick? Can L even get sick, y/n thought to herself in disbelief.
"I think I caught something," L whimpered nasally repositioning himself on the bed.
Y/n stood there for a second staring at him, "You need sleep," she commented.
"I don't sleep," he stated blankly at her.
An annoyed look crept across y/n's face giving him a stare that could kill, "I don't care, sleep." She walked across L's room making her way toward the window where sunlight was peaking out. Y/n closed the long cream colored curtains that hit just below the windowsill, making the room slightly darker than before.
"I'll get you some water, wait no. Tea, that will help with your sinuses," she stated walking outside L's door before he could refuse.
Soon after y/n came through L's door and placed the cup of tea on top of his bedside table. She told him to drink all the tea, and waited till L was finished, y/n then told him stories until he fell asleep.
