'An upper moon?! Why is he here? And we just finished killing lower moon one' thought tanjiro in shock as he stood up and stared at akaza with rengoku and Shinobu.

All of a sudden, without saying a word, akaza ran to tanjiro and aimed a punch at him. Tanjiro was about to unsheathe his sword and defend himself until

"Flame breathing Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun" (The user releases an arching slash attack upwards.)

Before akaza could punch tanjiro, rengoku sliced akazas arm in half making him jump back a bit.

He stared at them with a grin as his arm healed and stuck together again with a grin. "Nice blade you get there" complimented akaza while licking some of his own blood on his arm.

'He has a nice battle spirit, he's obviously a hashira. He'd make a fine demon'

"Why did you attack kamado shonen?" Asked Rengoku with a frown instead of his regular smile. Tanjiro and Shinobu only looked at akaza, waiting his answer

"Oh so his last name's kamado? Good to know. Well master ordered me to kill him and he promised me more of his blood so of course I'd follow orders" akaza replied with a grin

The answer only left rengoku and Shinobu with more questions. 'Why does muzan want tanjiro kun/kamado shonen dead?'

"Your battle spirit is very nice, you're obviously a pillar. It's quite refined and polished" akaza stated with a grin while pointing at rengoku.
"Why don't you become a demon? Stop wasting your time protecting the weak and-"

But akaza stopped his sentence when he took a look at tanjiros battle spirit. He started shaking and trembling. This didn't go unnoticed by the trio.

"Eh? Why is he shaking? Is he....scared?" Asked tanjiro. To which he didn't get a reply as akaza stopped shaking and grinned, pointing at tanjiro with excitement

"Holy sh*t! Your battle spirit! It's so powerful! So sharp! It's already at supreme territory even though you're not a demon! It's as sharp as a knife, ready to cut down anything standing in its way!"

This shocked everyone a bit, especially rengoku and Shinobu. 'Was his battle spirit so strong that he started trembling? You keep on surprising me kamado shonen!'

"He's....he's a tragedy" tanjiro thought. Not realizing he said it out loud. Shinobu heard him and stared at tanjiro, then at akaza in shock. 'Upper moon 3.....is a tragedy? No......no way' thought Shinobu

Akazas smile grew wider and creepier before he took a stance. "Young boy, I have a proposition. Become a demon, don't waste your time with these weaklings and become one of us. I can already see you as an upper moon right of the bat! Please kamado, don't waste this opportunity! Please, become a demon!" Akaza said in a calm but excited and pleading voice

Tanjiros face turned to one of disgust and disbelief, already giving akaza his answer. No

"Oh well, then I'll just have to kill you" shouted akaza as his feet dug deeper into the dirt, leaving behind cracks.

Tanjiro was about to unsheathe his sword until rengoku motioned him to stop. Tanjiro, though a bit shocked, quickly stopped.

"As a pillar I won't let the young ones fight someone like you! It's my job to protect them as a pillar and that's what I'll do! Your fight is with me!" Shouted rengoku shocking tanjiro and Shinobu a bit. Shinobu quickly took a stance, ready to fight along side rengoku

'...Oh well, they'll do for the mean time'
Akaza quickly rushed at Shinobu and tried to punch her. She blocked with her sword but due to her sword being extra thin it broke. She got injured and got flown back quite far.
