It was like all noises came to a firing halt. Silence engulfed the room, the ambiance of New York City still remained. However the silence in the room was nothing short of irregular and shocking. No one had yet to say anything about the news that Thor had sprung upon everyone. It had been minutes of back and forth staring, the team wondering who would be the first to speak up. With slight reluctance, Genevieve quietly cleared her throat and replied asking, "Released from Asgard?"

Thor only nodded in response. He then mumbled a sort of half apology for blurting it out like how he did. Genevieve didn't blame him though. The news was itching away at him, anyone could see how visibly uncomfortable Thor was prior to saying what had happened on Asgard. Or, what was told to him on Asgard. Before anyone could probe for extra details— or a full story for that matter— Thor asked Tony if he could speak with him one on one. Tony nodded and they left the room with everyone's eyes glazing upon the two, following their synchronized movement. As soon as the red silk that was Thor's cape wrapped around the corner and disappeared it was like all gossiping had commenced.

Genevieve was familiar with the infamous Attack on New York. It was the very first time the Avengers assembled and used their powers for good to destroy the Chitauri and bring Loki, the God of Mischief down. Genevieve was only eleven when it took place, however she didn't actually know it had even occurred. Pepper had taken her to Tony's Los Angeles home once she heard from Nick Fury himself that this mission was getting tense and the couple didn't want to risk Genevieve getting hurt, or even worse killed. Genevieve found out when she realized that her father was having routine nightmares about the battle years later and his anxiety was drowning him. So one night Genevieve was determined to get the full story and Tony gave it to her.

Tony spared his daughter the gory details but he explained the battle in a PG format and ever since then, Genevieve vowed to be at her father's side at all times; she vowed to be his partner as they would both fight off the villains that would try to terrorize their city, and nowadays their planet. This, of course, calmed Tony's nerves and made him love his little bundle of fire even more. But that still couldn't do enough and eventually Tony began pulling all nighters, which he still continued to do even in the present day.

The whispers between teammates were still as loud and potent as ever, so much so that Genevieve pinched the bridge of her nose and wished that they would just talk in a normal volume. Suddenly she could hear angry footsteps returning to the main kitchen and a loud, "Thor, no! It's not happening!" as well.
