Chapter 6

Sunghoon's POV

I stood near the door and shouted, "YEOLEOBUN!!"

Ni-ki, who had been sitting on the edge of the couch, fell backward from the shock. "Sunghoon hyung, why did you have to shout?" he complained, rubbing his elbow.

Jake jumped in surprise, dropping his phone. "You shouted so loudly it sounded like there was a fire!" He placed a hand on his chest, taking deep breaths to calm himself.

"Sorry, everyone," I said with an awkward smile as I entered the room.

Heeseung hyung looked up from where he was sitting. "Sunghoon and Jungwon, why are you coming home so late at night?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"True," Sunoo joined the conversation, taking a sip of water.

"Why did you come home together? And what happened with you and Eunha?" Jake asked.

I scratched my neck nervously.
"Jungwon just saw me walking on the road, so we walked back together. As for Eunha... I saw her with a man. I was too late to talk to her because they had already left. And that man... he looked like her boyfriend."

"Boyfriend??" Ni-ki's eyes widened.
"Eunha told me she doesn't have a boyfriend! Maybe it was just her best friend or her brother?"
Sunoo flicked Ni-ki's forehead. "Stupid, she doesn't have siblings."

Ni-ki rubbed his head. "Then how can you be so sure, hyung? Are you Eunha's cousin or something?"
Sunoo rolled his eyes and ignored him.

"What if she has a brother or sister living abroad?" Jungwon interjected.
"Eunha's father is a foreigner —maybe her sibling came to visit her."

Heeseung narrowed his eyes.
"Jungwon, how do you know Eunha's father is a foreigner?" The room fell silent. Everyone stared at Jungwon, who visibly gulped.

Noticing his discomfort, I quickly changed the subject. "Let's not talk about it. It's not important."

"I'm going to sleep," I announced, and the others nodded. I retreated to my room, collapsing onto the bed with a sigh. Staring at the ceiling, I muttered to myself,

"I shouldn't be jealous... right? Eunha probably just... still hates me."

I turned over and let exhaustion pull me into sleep.
