Chapter 12

Hyunjin was sipping his iced americano and was giving the both of us a serious look. I just shrugged it off.

"Solve this," I said and Sunghoon got to work on the math problem.

I chuckled as I turned to face Hyunjin's frowning face, he changed his expression and stopped drinking. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing." I smiled and started to observe Sunghoon as he solved.

"I'm finished!" Sunghoon declared with an ear-to-ear smile, which made me smile. I took his paper and checked it, "Let me see." I marked the page with a checkmark and a happy face "Okay! You got it all correct." I handed him the paper "Here you go."

"Thank you Eunha."

I turned to face Hyunjin after hearing him scoff, I caught him rolling his eyes. "Hey Eunha, I have to leave right away because I have practice." Sunghoon took his bag and slung it over his shoulder. I nodded and began to pack my belongings as well.

Hyunjin stood up with him as the three of us went outside the Starbucks.

"Get home safe Eunha." Sunghoon patted my head, which made me blush a little, I heard Hyunjin sighed again.

Something is seriously wrong with this guy, I thought to myself. After Sunghoon left, I was left with hyunjin, who was obviously not in the mood.

I faced Hyunjin. "Did something happen to you today?" he shook his head in response.

I expressed my doubt, "Hmm.. really," to which he smiled and lifted his right hand, "Mhm I'm okay I promise." I nodded and we went home together.

"Thank you for bringing my daughter home safely, Hyunjin,"

"No worries Uncle, I'll always make your daughter return home to you safely." My father laughed, and I squirmed. I interrupted them "Uhm dad Hyunjin is going to stay over for a little while, bye." I hurriedly took Hyunjin's hand and went up to my room.

I immediately shut the door, and Hyunjin sat down on my bed, "So when will you quit tutoring that guy?" I looked up at him and noticed he was staring at the ceiling

"don't know yet." I responded.

He stood up "I did not realize that all this would happen to us."

"Yes, me too." I said, nodding.

"You realize that soon both of us will feel weary and sick of acting right?" He asked while leaning against the wall and closed his eyes.

I nodded and looked down the ground. We remained silent.

He opened his eyes "Well, I'll see you tomorrow. Just call me when you need me. Bye Eunha." He opened the door I was going to follow him, but he shut the door before I could.

I let out a sigh and went back to my bed. "Why is this happening to me?" I thought to myself as I lazily lay on the bed and closed my eyes.

I struggled to fall asleep, so when I opened my eyes and went to the window to look out, I sighed.

When my phone rang, I pulled it out of my pocket to look at the contact number and recognized Sunghoon right away.

"Hello, Sunghoon?"
