Many weeks later it's finally the day of the winter fete. The last few weeks have been uneventful. I have attended lessons with the other grisha (who won't stop bullying me 🥺🥺😭😭) and hung out with Darkles. Even though i have attended many lessons with Baghra i am no where as skilled as Alina 🥺. I'm just not special, smart, or skilled 🥺😭😭😭. I put on my moon dress with some cowboy boots and wear a harry potter backpack with my favorite beanie.

I am such a fashion icon. Since its a a special occasion, i put on some mascara trying my best to make my eyelashes look like clumpy spiders. Genya has put my hair into 2 pigtails.
As i crawl down the stairs all eyes turn towards me. This cant be happening!!! i'm just too ugly to look at 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺. I spot prince Vasily. He is staring directly at me. As i crawl off the last step i almost fall onto my face but a strong smelly arm picks me up. I look up to see darkles. " T-t-t-thank you" i say.
After the presentation as the event goes on i feel a tap on my shoulder. It is the prince!!! " D-s-dance with me!!" he commands. I grab onto his hand and walk to the dance floor. I hate the music here. it's so boring. I decide to put on my favorite song "Dance monkey"
As Vasily takes me to the dance floor I look into his strong gaze. He looks me up and down. I fee butterflies in my stomach. This is wrong. i'm with the darkling. " Y-y-you look ugly." The prince whispers into my ear. I try not to cry as i feel hot tears fill my eyes. My favorite part of the song comes on. I start to sing along to the beautiful tune. Vasily grabs my waist and starts to dance. I dab gracefully and hit the woah to the beat. I kick my leg up high and go down to the floor as i do the WAP elegantly. All eyes are on me again.Everyone around me whispers I don't blame them. I'm an amazing dancer. I start to renegade as i yell "YEET!!" Vasily stares at me with disgust. At this point i am singing at the top of my longs. " Y-y-y-you don't like my dancing?!" I ask the Prince. "No" He says. "Ok boomer🤨🥺" I whip and nae nae one last time.
Once i am done dancing i run to the darklings chamber. I haven't seen him since the presentation. As i open the door i see my sister Alina sitting on his desk. Kissing him. I break out into a sob my clumpy mascara covering my face. " How could you!!!??" i demand! " It's not what you think it is..." the darkling says. " i love you both!" I fall to the floor as my legs wobble. How could he???!!! The darkling walks over to me and lifts my chin. As i look into his dark eyes my heart shatters. "i-i-i-i lo-o-o-ved y-y-you darkles and t-t-this is h-how y-you repay me??!!!" i say while burping. " You and i are going to change the world" He whispers in my ear. I can't take this anymore. The pain grows inside me. I crawl to the door and get up and run. Outside i see Vasily standing above me. Arms crossed over his chest. "d-d-did he hurt you???!!!" he demands " yes" i manage to say while sniffling. " Im gonna make him pay!!!" he says fists clenched. Vasily runs into his chamber leaving me alone in the hallway.
